Sagat asked me to post this, so I will.
With any luck, this will be the first and the last time that I, in a decade, post a hit on an alliance member, even if it’s a former one and not my own attack.

      Sagat’s own words
Dedicated to the true STAFF: fyra, thee, neighbor, Cassiopeia, SpaceX. Once again STAFF beating ugly at GC. 1 big hug for my friend Cat

      About the hit
The reason behind it is a full explanation of everything that happened between the STAFF and GC alliances, and honestly I’m not sure I have the stomach to has it all out. But in very broad terms:

STAFF and GC were fighting pretty much from day one, as the boards can testify to. Yet despite the prolonged conflict, Gangster decided to leave STAFF and join the enemy, following a conflict with Sagat over a hit.The conflict was stupid and related to whether or not someone who didn’t actually fly on a hit (Gangster), but did a lot of the groundwork, should have an equal share in the profits. It was as stupid as it was senseless.
That Gangster left the alliance I think some of us understood, I did at least. That he joined the enemy alliance…. Not so much, to put it mildly. When he joined GC, his moon was popped and deploy was found… This left some of us in a very uncomfortable position.Did we join an attack on an enemy alliance member… or did past friendship mean too much, despite the betrayal? In the end it didn’t matter, as maintenance apparently caused the deploy to be recalled safely.

Detnarg decided to play both sides in this. He passed on information continuously to Gangster, but didn’t realize that we knew he was doing this pretty much from the very start. It was really disheartening to watch information only given to one source, end up being repeated by Gangster, but at least the deception was clear.
Detnarg agreed to help stab Sagat in the back, which didn’t work because we knew what he was doing. When he formally joined GC, it didn’t come as a surprise to anyone, and as is the case with those who betray us, he was on the top of the wanted hitlist.

Ingame is ingame, and it will always be dirty. But I urge everyone who is still reading, to resist the temptation to take the ingame conflicts out of the game. Don’t let the desire to win a pixel game corrupt your moral compass. It is not worth it.

Detnarg… fast rebuild. Sagat – beautiful revenge hit. Congratulations.

sad that you lack basic understanding of rules and logic

      pity you
I remember something completely different from my time playing in yildun ^^
    • Congrats to Sagat for catching me, he got very lucky in a window where I was busy IRL and I missed my FS return. First time actually being mobiled into in a 6x Uni, and I was expecting MD's. Lesson learned, and well-played.

Since there are some fairly serious (and unfortunately incorrect) assertions being made here, I should probably tell my side of this. Anyone may believe it or not.

I joined Yildun with a RL friend and have played in 4 different alliances during my time here - ENL, OS, STAFF, and GC. I think the most enjoyable time spent was while in STAFF. I was not happy to see Gangster leave due to the issue between him and Sagat, and Gangster knows this. I wish it had been resolved in a gentlemanly fashion, but it obviously wasn't up to me. As to which side I was rooting for, well - it doesn't really matter now, I suppose. A lot of what it came down to was the fact that iSagat was Vmoded / never on Discord / and completely un-engaged, thee and SpaceX seemed to be quitting, newroc was giving Cassi's account away to a stranger, and then neighbor decided to quit. Which left fyra and myself with very little option outside of wondering WTF we were supposed to do. I had an open invitation from Gangster to join GC, so I took it.

What I found was a group of players who were also human beings (surprise!). Likeable, with a slightly different style of interaction from STAFF or OS. I was surprised by how much I quickly ended up liking Artist in particular, as well as amg and a few others. In the event of alliance vs. alliance, I was also introduced to some Vikings players, several of which are also extremely likeable.

In the end, I play to have fun and make friends - and also to gain rank as much as I can. :P This crash was a set-back, of course - still trying to decide if I will continue in Ogame or not. But I agree with Cassi that it is too easy for people to take this game so seriously that they start treating each other like trash. I avoid that whenever possible.

Tyler, neighbor, cassi, fyra, amstel, thee, SpaceX, newroc, gangster, artist, popeye, flava, wuzup, atomoxic, kairos, la la land, and all the other ENL players I know - it has been great fun to know you and play with you. GLIRL to you all if I leave. At the end of the day, this game doesn't really matter at all...all the same, I try to play as honorably as I can.

Enjoy the profit, Sagat. GG WP.
