So a pretty grand story here so everyone grab a cold beverage, sit down and allow me to tell you a tale.

The story begins, as it so often does, with a little fleeter throwing his LF at walls while the majority of the universe sleeps, scraping small profits and making his shipyard workers cry and then riot due to being overworked. One such mission was on a neighbour called Nate of the OVETs.

As all halfway decent fleeters do, the Beerd'd one ordered his lunar based lifeforms to point the lanx at the planet in question to ensure that the attacking fleet had no unexpected surprises on its final leg of the journey. The report back did contain a surprise but far from a mission sabotaging action, instead a confounding sight of a FS on a moon to planet transport mission due at the planet in 1hr40min.

The defence bash went through without issue, many LFs were turned to dust but they were swept into the Beerd'd recyclers so the remaining fleet rejoiced knowing that their sacrifice will be rewarded with all the beer and wenches on their return (little did they know they would be sent straight back out again given their emperor's unending thirst for resources).

The Beerd'd one turned his attention to the homeworld of Nate and waited for activity to appear. For over an hour the planet was silent. 25min before the FS was due at the planet Nate's planet came to life and so the Beerd'd one ordered the lanx to scan the planet every 3sec for he was expecting a recall from the defender and the Beerd'd one needed to know when Nate did this in order to time back the fleet. With 25min wasted and with 2m doot spent cooling the lanx the Beerd'd one was mystified to find that Nate did not recall the transport.

The Beerd'd one smiled to himself however for he knew the possible return times, the fleet could have only been sent at 30%-10%. With the login half way through the duration of the flight the Beerd'd one was pretty sure that the fleet was sent at 10% but he was not going to miss out on the profits by not launching at all possible return times. The fleet timed to 30% return time sailed through, doing a lap around the empty moon before returning.

On the 20% flight Nate came online 3min before the possible fleet convergence, he sent the Beerd'd one a msg, he appeared confused, the Beerd'd one smiled to himself once again believing that the msg may have been a ruse, why else would the defender log in 2min before the fleet was possibly due to arrive back. As it turns out it was a coincidence as this second go around also sailed through unimpeded by newly dead ships.

This interaction concerned him however as Nate now knew that the Beerd'd one smelt blood in the water and was circling. The Beerd'd one had 4+hrs to stew on his strategy for the final altercation. The Beerd'd one suspected that Nate may call one of the rival gangs to defend him in order to kill the Beerd'd one's revered and celebrated BC pilots. The Beerd'd one discussed his concerns with his daddy Parsnip who, as the often drunk and abusive father figure he is, was barely listening, told him he was lame, slapped him and told him to man up.

The Beerd'd one devised a plan, he would risk only the minimum number of pilots on this brave mission (half of what he had sent for the previous 2 attempts) and would pretime recs to recycle all of his own fleet in case of the worst case scenario of a ninja appearing and him not being able to save himself. The Beerd'd one then sent the brave fleet and eventually slowed the attack to 9secs after Nate's fleet return in case of unexpected Loco boys showing up. The Beerd'd one sent Nate a msg stating GL on the escape. As you can see below, there was no unexpected surprises and in the end it was a rather easy flight and fight.

Given the rather mundane end to the story without a big twist or surprise was the story necessary? Now that i have re-read it i think not but oh well. Thanks for reading!

Nate was a gracious gentleman before, during and after the timebacks so a hearty GLOTR to him.
    • So I guess after Duc’s disappearance, you needed a new Apex member with an editing issue? Good god that was a lot of paragraphs for not a lot of story.

Anyway, ahoy to you, Blackberry, and your many merry pilots. Nice hit!

Sorry that your abusive father figure wasn’t helpful. Never put your trust in a man.

      Wish you the best Nate
