Discussion on Merge

    What's up with all the people complaining about points? Points are there to be a made. I've seen players start 3 years late in an universe and still end at the very top. With the right amount of dedication and skill it's possible. It's hard work for sure, though not wholly impossible.
    Truth be told, I am saddened to see so many complaining about the point difference, since that should quite obviously be the the smaller problem. Changing universe speed is a much more severe challenge. If your whole account setup and your style of play is based on the specifics of your universe (and more likely than not it is), then this will be as drastic change as is possible to make. That is the real problem people should be complaining about here.


    Logic is a foreign term to GF, or at least so it seems when they continually ignore it.
    I hope somebody tries to talk some sense into GF, so that people can choose to remain in a 2x universe.

    You can do planet > planet deploys. You can move your fleet to another moon.


    Also, people in a 1x speed universe won't do moon destruction missions on a whim. If you're so small compared to them and you're still fleetsaving well, there's little point to wasting so much time and there's little point to risking the RIPs when they're fairly easy to get the timing right for a ninja.

    id rather go to jupiter or uni30
    they are stronger than draco/uni20 but 2x speed

    I am Rank 1 at Nekkar. After this merge if I choose uni20 I will be at rank 82. Of course I will not choose it.
    If I choose Draco, I will be rank 11. This can be acceptable and everyone will prefer Draco instead of uni20 I guess.
    Rank1 of Draco is an exceptional case, rank2 has 20.8m points which is an acceptable difference.
    But 1X speed?????????????????????????????
    Sorry but I choose nekkar for 2x speed. Why do not offer Jupiter as a target universe also?
    I will be rank 48 and I prefer it to Draco because of speed.

    I think I will not play in 1x speed uni and prefer to my miner acc to be fleeter at rank 277 at jupiter. This is quite enjoyable.


    Please add jupiter to target unis. May be 30 also (I prefer jupiter of course)
    Do not downgrade us to 1x speed uni.

    I agree with you that changing speed after you played a 2x universe is not pleasant and not comfortable.



    The merged players from younger unis will suffer a massive drop in ranks , being compared with players from older unis.
    I can tell you from my experience, from the first round of merge, my account from uni 17 , moved to uni 1 doped from top 50 ( i forgot what was exactly my rank ) to top 400 . I can tell you , even if I don't play for ranks, I still hated it.


    But you see things only from your side. The truth is that merges are only an emergency surgery, to keep universes alive. An Ogame universe has a life of its own. Is natural that the number of players to drop after a while ( old players are leaving , no new players to join a developed universe- I don't say old). This process is now accelerated as the world and players have evolved and they are looking for easy games and many are not ready to spend nights on DF watch and only very few continue to play after first crash.
    The scope of the merge is to gather in a single universe accounts from scarcely populated universes. Is very difficult to make a choice and different factors are considered, including the effect this will have on the players.


    We, the ogame.org team are not aware of the criteria the Gameforge crew used to decide on the merge.


    What I can tell you : uni 30 top 1 has 90.346.787 points - this is huge


    uni 20 top 1 has 43.686.119 points ( 1.154 registered accounts)
    uni Draco top 1 has 57.848.264 ( 2.078 registered accounts )


    No other universe qualifies for a target universe . At least players from Kassiopeia, Leo, Mizar and Nekkar will have now the opportunity to compete one with each other and also challenge old players from uni 20 or Draco.


    In the end, be assured we will transmit to Gameforge your discontent on this situation and we will try to get a better deal if possible.

    but leave Draco and uni20 outta this..or merge them one to another

    there is no ways in live that i am going to start over in a new uni that is crazy again dark matter again a lot off work day and night let them join us 2x faster if this happens V mode for me and what happens to all the dark matter that we spend ed open your eyes nobody likes it :missilelauncher:

    Mater of busines, ppl will buy DM to get to top, allways will be like that. I don't I buy DM, only for commandir, i dont have money for insta shi* but If i had i would totally use it, and im sure I will progress 2x faster with that. Its hard (imposible) to get into top even with raiding 24/7.... So its only mater of $$$....

    I've known players who've done it both before there was such a thing as DM, and some have even done it after all these pay-to-play things was implemented without using DM. It has become increasingly difficult, but as of yet it is still not impossible.

    u30 is a good option believe me, top 1 is a lazy ass fleeter that doesnt FS, 2nd is a miner... so start counting from 70M :P
    most of u30 is miners and lazy fleeters, so all good for a good bunch of active fleeters!

    I play Mizar and am not happy that i'll be forced to join a universe much older and with much more powerful players. My rank 37 will become rank 337 at best.


    Join Mizar and Leo and then join uni20 and draco. this is absolutely bloody stupid.

    Why not let people merge into nekkar, going from 1x-2x is way better then going from 2x-1x, they have a choice and we don't.


    If nothing is done about this, i will put all my accounts in vmode and let them rot away to contribute to killing the new uni



    I spent 1 yr in nekkar and got to the top 15 and now im gonna have to go down to the top 300-200, really stupid

    Well, im hobby musician, and when me with my band mates discussing about which new songs to put on set list, we think about that one which other ppl would like, our opinion does not mater, its only important to make ppl more happy..
    Same thing here but inverted way, GF goes on its own hand, does not giving ppl (players) to vote or something.. And ofc it is selfish, and thats why no one from board/game agrees with this merge move. In fact, I wonder why we are wasting time here, coz our opionion is not mater at all!
    If they care a little bit, they will listen the unhappy voice of their players!

    Why isn't uni 30 a target universe for another x2 ? I hope GF doesn't have a retarded idea of making uni 1 a target for uni 30 or any other speed universe.
