TrashSim - OGame combat simulator

  • Could you make the fleet retreat ratio visible at the beginning when you load your fleets? Like it's done on speedsim?

  • Big fleet numbers are now completely crashing the sim

    • Polish, the result table now appears on the right of the page with a width higher than 1344px
    • Polish, enabled CDN for assets
    • Polish, enabled HTTP2


    TrashSim now uses a CDN for its assets.
    This should improve the speed for loading images etc in all different parts of the world. (except for antarctica :D)
    If this isn't the case, please let me know :)

    Would it be possible to add total ship count, as I end up calculating them myself.
    It usually comes in handy to know the proportion of defenders ships you are going against.

  • Feature suggestion: could you add a warning if one of the sets of technologies is not filled in when simulating, or set both sets to zero?


    Quite easy to quickly sim something and forget to fill in techs for one player.


    Loving the sim though, good work!

    Why would you like to know the total ship count?
    Is the retreat ratio not a good indication?

    The techs issue is on my todo list :)

    As I mentioned in my previous message,
    It could be useful to know the proportion of defenders ships you are going against, knowing military points and ship count could be handy in some cases.
    Or in even simpler form I like to know is it vast majority of defenders ships I'm about to attack or is there more somewhere else.

    First of all TrashSim is not in any way related to GameForge.
    I made TrashSim and Gameforge was kind enough to promote the simulator ingame.


    Secondly, I haven't had time to react to the problem because I've haven't had time IRL. The reasons why are of course private.
    That happens sometimes, I do this in my spare time for fun and to make something that works. (Or should work in most cases)


    I've spend a lot of time and I really mean a lot of time in developing this simulator because people asked me to.
    I've put a lot of effort and money in making it to give the users the best experience I can and I still want to do that.


    Now as for your failed simulation and those of others.
    During the time it has been online I've been testing scenario's from user feedback.
    Less than 0.0001 % of the users give feedback or care to give feedback when something goes wrong. They'd rather quit.
    So I don't always have much to work with to optimize everything.
    I'm happy that carbon did gave me feedback, I just didn't have the time yet to take a look at it.


    I hope everyone understands my point of view, it's almost impossible for me to test every scenario.
    That's why I need feedback from real examples ingame, sadly that sometimes means people loose profit.


    I'll take a look at the problem and do my best to fix it as soon as possible.
