TrashSim - OGame combat simulator

    A simulator should be only Accessible to people once all normal test is Done :headbanging:


    AnD Game Forge promote your simulator without even doing any normal test on it :youcrazy:


    Just because you or Game forge like to swap the responsibilities so that no one gets the blame :fatgreengrin:


    So according to Your Kind message here ... You want people to give your FEED BACK after Lossing fleet ?


    Tats pretty Stupid .... Most people will just quit

    Yesterday I ran a second update for TrashSim, version 1.3.0.
    A lot of changes were already online, I just waited till now to increase the version.
    The only new change you'll notice is the implementation of the new DiDF feature in OGame.
    Also known as different debris field percentages.


    Changelog:

    • New, DiDF implementation
    • New, added a engineer checkbox for the main defender (for DiDf feature)
    • Fix, changes in OGame espionage API
    • Fix, speed & fuel usage calculations were wrong
    • Polish, changes for new server

    TrashSim just got updated to version 1.4.0.
    This update contains something I've been staring at for almost a year.
    A (hopefully) final fix for the battle algoritme!
    So the RIP & Dome problems should be history.


    Changelog:

    • New, A notice (popup) when there are techs missing for a player
    • New, Added Chinese
    • New, Added the global deuterium save factor (universe setting)
    • Fix, Battle formula
    • Fix, Bomber drive issue


    If anyone wants to give feedback about the new battle formula, please let me know :)

    TrashSim just got updated to version 1.4.1.


    Changelog:

    • Performance & memory optimizations (more info below)
    • Javascript API (more info below)


    I did some optimizations to the simulations code.
    Chrome users already had an advantage bij using a Pnacl module, which should now be 3x faster at most.
    Users from other browsers, using the plain Javascript module, should now have a 4,5x speed gain at most.

    ever since you did above update, my browser crashes when i try to sim anything involving more than 1k rips


    might just be my wooden box but it worked fine (albeit slowly) before

    I think there is an error in sims including RIPs and sats.


    When I run 8 rips vs 9500 sats in Osim and Websim, they both return a 3-round win.


    However, Trashsim returns a draw.


    Could it be that TrashSim isn't counting RIP rapidfire against sats, even though rapidfire is clicked?

  • Check again, it works for me :)

  • myself and my alliance still have issues with crashing our browsers when simming large fleets. It maxes out my ram for some reason and forces me to hard reset most of the time.


    No rhyme or reason I could figure out but seems to be worse when there is a more balances fleet which takes longer to sim.


    Ediit, some of us using the latest version of chrome, some of us using the latest version of ff, I even tried IE.

  • Hi. I want to give feedback on a bad simulation. Beware if you are using this simulator. I was the attacker and I was lucky enough to recoup almost all my losses.
    This is not simply a low-chance outcome, because after the fact I decided to run the sim through speedsim several times and the outcome was pretty much spot-on every time.

    Which browser are you using for simulating your battles?
    I've run your simulation several times with the exact same parameters and my result is just fine. (Check screenshot below)


    I know it's not nice to lose fleet but instead of trying to discredit TrashSim you could have contacted me and we could taken a look at the problem first.

    I'm using Google Chrome.


    And there's no need to get all up in arms. This thread is about the tool and I gave pertinent feedback reporting exactly what happened with the info I had available. I can't see how that qualifies as discrediting in your eyes.
