Is "bashing" allowed to a planet which is owned by an inactive (i) player? Rules say it's applied if the defender is an "active" player clearly, but I want to double check this just in case, since English is not my mother tongue, thanks.

Yup, just go for it.
-
Thanks. Well it's a nice quote but it would be a bummer if there is some kind of auto-detection for these kind of actions

The only automatic bans there is, is payment bans.
On top of this, bashing inactives is fully allowed. -
When was this rule changed?
-
A long long time ago? Must be older than 2012.
-
Informally, bashing inactives has never been an issue. But following some public discussions on the topic (as I recall, somebody got banned after bashing an inactive player who suddenly became active again and reported it as bashing) it was formally recognized by the rules that if the player was inactive at the time, the bashing rule doesn't apply.
That is some time ago. I don't quite think it to be before 2012, but I am sure the change happened at least 3 years ago. -
I'd like a SGO chime in on this one...

Does an answer from an ex-SGO count?
Bashing on inactives is allowed, as long as the account was inactive when the bashing happened. Mind you, that means that if the bashing happened BEFORE the account was inactive, it STILL counts as bashing.
Moon destructions are also ALWAYS an exception to the bashing rules, regardless of what happens to the rips

Moon destruction is now subject to the bashing rule.

Yes, MDs count towards bashing and have for a long time already. I can not fathom how an ex-SGO would not know this. Hitting inactive does not count. Why can't you just take it from DD who got it spot on, I don't get the "I'd like a SGO chime in on this one..." thing at all.

Bashing is attacking one planet/moon owned by active player more than 6 times in 24h period
It is important to remember following:
We don't count bashing in situations where:
- defender is inactive
- war is announced (valid)
- attacking fleet is completely destroyed
- probe attacks
- interplanetary attacksWe count bashing for every MD mission regardless of outcome.
--
In case you attack inactive player and he/she becomes active.. We will count only attacks that happened after becoming active.
-
I meant that they always count but by the time I saw my mistake I couldn't edit anymore
