abcd has danced around us the past few days, with several unsuccesful launches on his moon. Tonight he went offline later than usual, because a target's deploy was coming home, and he and papaya had it locked. What he didn't know was that I had locked same target about half a second earlier, after crashing a few hundred lfs on the same planet. I recalled, figuring I would go for the debris instead, and abcd's returning heavies, which I knew had to be sent at 80%. However, the target came online 3 minutes out and recalled, so all those finely laid plans were for nothing.
A short time later, however, abcd was idling on his moon, and since everything else was dead, we decided to try our luck, this time succesful. Defender went to vac, without touching the debris. I hope he returns and rebuilds, wish him fast rebuild if he does.
