Resource Saving

    Been in the game for just a week. I know all about FLEET SAVING, so my question here is:


    Okay, so you save your fleet and resources and go fly away for the 8 hours that you will be in bed. But, overnight in that 8 hours, your planet has accumulated 70 K metal, 40 K crystal , 25k deuterium for example. What an attractive target you have become. Sure you can build you defenses, but of what I have read, many players suggest not to waste too much on those defenses.


    So in other words, what does everyone do with that virtually 16 hours a day while you sleep and work. My only thought is to lower my production to 10% energy so not much is produced. But if you do that for that 16 hours, you will never get anywhere in the game. So do most players just take that chance every time their off to sleep and/or work? I have not read anywhere about this.

    Build enought - but not too much defence, just enought to protect your overnight production. you can not produce that much in 8 hours to make yourself attractive target...

    As AGFS said, it's about having enough of a defence. If your producing 70/40/25 overnight you shouldn't need much of a defence to protect it.


    My daily income on a planet totals 7mil resources. That's protected by only
    1.5k RL
    1k LL
    150 HL
    50 IC
    10 PT
    Both shields


    Honestly that defence is light for the a full day's production but I'm often on before and after I sleep so it's enough.

    Well honestly most of us don’t sleep much and we also play while we work. But without getting into that all you do is build a little defense to make it just a tad bit difficult to take that daily 16 hours worth of rez. But your best defense will be remaining unpredictable. Never log on and off at the same times, never fleetsave the same etc etc and as always keep it moving. But yeah 70/40/25 is nothing. Build some defenses and just hope that everyone else around you has more sitting so your not the target.
