Is a recalled attack mission invisible to the lanx?

  • If the attack was sent from a moon to a planet the recalled leg is invisible but if it is planet to planet it is visible or if they timed your attack to the planet they can time your attack back to the moon

  • also not true about all recalled missions. Only recalled deploy missions are invisible to lanx from a planet. On a mission sent from a moon yes it is invisible(because you cant lanx a moon at all)but only recalled deploy from planet is invisible

Ok, how would they time my attack though if i recalled it, they would have to be lanxing like every 5-10 seconds if they want to have an accurate hit on the way back, correct?

  • if they have enough deut. on the moon they can just refresh the lanx and calculate the return time back to the moon from said planet. ( now if it is deploy from planet to planet then recallend the return is invisible but again if they are lanxing the destination planet and refreshing they can figure out the flight speed based on your drive techs if they have probed you and still time back you recalled deploy to the point of origin. so what T.A.S. is partly correct moon to moon deploys are invisible as is the return moon to moon but moon to planet if the planet is being lanxed can be timed if the miss the recall it is invisible as was said moons cannot be lanxed. )

okay i see, so if i had a moon to planet attack mission going on, they would have to lanx the planet i am attacking in order to see my fleet going there right? or can they see it from lanxing my planet where my moon is at?

  • They would have to be lanxing the planet your attacking.

thanks so much for clearing up things, that is a relief.

because sometimes when i do my attacks from my moon, i have scary high ranked people with activity on their moons and planets in the same system i send my attacks from.

so i have this fear they can just scan my planet there and see where my attack missions are going (from my moon).

but its great that they cant see anything unless they scan the planet i am attacking.

  • I dont think so. I think it works the same way as the attack mission. Anyone lanxing you would have to see when your transport arrives at the planet and manually time you back

i see, thanks for the clear-up.

Also is there anyway they can find out at what speed i sent the fleet at while its visible on the lanx on the way there?

  • Yes some players will be able guess the speed your traveling and time it back.

If you slow your attack buy adding a probe adding a minute too the attack it will help you to spot someone ninjaing you and will make hitting your fleets return very hard.

Ok, how do i add a probe to my fleet? when exactly? i have tried this before but it did not work.

go to your fleet movement screen to the left of the fleet that is attacking click on the small blue square then click invite and when the fleet is close enough go to fleet select one probe and then on the bottom fleet target selection click on it and there will be a code click that and then select a slower speed for your probe and then continue through normal launch steps it should show the acs indicator lit up. and flight time if the probes flight time is not slower than the attacks but a half minute or minute use a probe from another planet

Ok so i have to do this right before the attack lands or shortly after i send the attack?

  • ... Just keep in mind that the only way for you to be safe is to recall deploy, yes, even between moons. There's always the chance you get MD'd, and recall deployment is the only thing, in a planet, that cannot be lanxed.
