Is it for fleet crashing when paired up with battleCruisers or is there Any other good use for them?

What are Battleships best used for?
-
-
They are good fodders for taking down rips if you don't want to build Destroyers .
-
Fast raiding?
Maybe I'm too old school to remember that. They have better holds than BC's.
-
Battleship are also nice to farm colonies that aren't too far from you (deut cost too high if too far), long as def don't have too many plasma, their cargo space is useful and they will smash any small fleets there with little losses
For the early game, I consider them like Destroyers-lite when farming around, can make a lot of no-losses farm with decent res captures
-
Battleships are also good for moon shots.
They do less damage to defenses than LF.
They cost the same amount of resources.
They can be used for other things (like raiding).
etc... -
battleships suck
they should delete them and take heavy fighters with them
-
battleships are pretty good in general
look at this cr where a fleet only 10% stronger takes out a BC-based fleet
-

That's obviously nonsense since BCs have rapidfire against BS so clearly BC > BS
-
that CR must be fake too
because
so theres no way 500k sx lose to 500k ss - NOT IN THIS WORLDLIARS
-
I’ve found BS good in a balanced fleet against other fleets, even better than BCs! Depending on how you cost them up against each other.
Down side is they do cost more to fly. -

Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me

I think that CR speaks more for the power of mass CR/LF/SC and fire order manipulation than BS.
Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me
For a simple example, simulate 14k BS 100k LF vs 10k BC 100k LF (equal fleet points, with the BS fleet being slightly cheaper) in 50% DF, as in his example. The attacker makes a 54m profit if they get DF. Or if you convert the extra 4k BS to 60k LF, the attacker (10k BS/160k LF) makes 213m profit.

I don't know dude, BC have 7 RF against BS, clearly you're manipulating something.
-
If you have 7BS for every 50LF, thats means only 7 times out of 57 the RF will take effect in the 1st round
Also 14k BS costs less than 10K BC making them cost efficient
Of course one lone BS vs a lone BC will lose but that isn't the question, it's not because they have the same speed that you must compare all their stats 1

Lol stop feeding the trolls, Icy One
Tirnoch did the massive hit against WM where they had 1.5x the BS as BC, he obviously knows how to use BS and do fire order manipulation.
-
...
fire order manipulation.this might be a different topic but it is also really really important when it comes to big hits
as for BS..just build em..in time you`ll see their value..same as HF`s

What about dessies, with the right techs they can almost one shot a Battleship and they have rapid fire against BCs.
I see a lot of players in uni1 with lots of dessies so they have to be good

good and useful is not the same
but yeah, theyre goodrips are also good, do many ppl in uni1 have lost of them too? like 200,300? even 500?
-
and how did those rips get rekt? Destroyers ofc
