If some people will cheat themselves in a solo game then they no doubt will likely cheat others in a multiplayer one - they simply can't comprehend such terms such as challenge, accomplishment or respect even.
And if some people come to absolutely hate their opponents then they have simply let their opponents defeat them as again, they can't comprehend those terms.
I would suggest if you feel let down by the game then it's time to move on.
However if you feel let down by opponents then it's time to move forward and seek new ones.
I believe the pillory should be reinstated because not everyone banned will have been fairly and thus exonerated. Others rightly named and shamed - there's no reason to waste each others time with speculation.
I also believe that a simple solution is to engage a game mechanic that prevents anyone ever engaging with another if they have shared the same IP over a length of time. It might inconvenience some but isn't this whole mud slinging lark inconveniencing more?
Personally I couldn't care less how somebody plays their own game so long as they leave me alone to play mine - I've managed that fairly well so far.

For all that I don't particularly care that some of the Assassins alliance were banned (and I'm sure this would be the case for them were I to get myself banned) it would be nice to see some sort of consistency in the upholding of the rules. I've watched these two players for weeks now and both accounts are always, and I mean ALWAYS online. 24 hours a day/7 days a week every colony is lit up, unless I message one of them and the activity turns to timers temporarily when they get spooked. Up until yesterday neither even had a moon but they don't need one because nobody attacks if they're lit up like Christmas trees every waking minute. Chunks of fleet and loot sit there all day and if you lanx you'll see pointless transport missions going in every direction, sometimes from planet A to planet B and planet B to planet A at the same time lol, or two transports from planet A to B a few minutes apart. I started sending attacks every hour of the day and they always move the fleet, an ally of mine watches all night while I'm asleep and the same thing happens to him. Both accounts are manned round the clock and are never without activity at every location.
You might wonder why I'm posting this here and that's easy to answer. Assassins have been banned seemingly for farming inactives, when this example is more blatant and also in this example there is no grey area whatsoever. Either scripting or account sharing are taking place, there is no other possible explanation because no amount of Red Bull or cocaine can keep the human body awake for, well, forever and both are directly against the rules.

Tyler Durden if they use teamviewer or any remote desktop there is absolutely no way for any staff member to know. As a matter of fact I’m surprised people don’t just set up VMs on a server, use some proxies and just play tens of accounts at once.

magus_18 If a GO looks at the logs and sees that the account has remained online basically for a week or two weeks or a month without any down time then the IP shouldn't matter. It's impossible to always remain online. I've seen people with 20h activity a day but everyone has to sleep some time.

I don’t think the GO can act on the assumption that a person should sleep (I agree they should but some people don’t). Maybe they or their friends create fake activity and you haven’t caught it.

Every account is being checked but there are a lot of accounts and only one of me.

I absolutely welcome the community helping me to keep their server clean of rule breakers and cheats.
I know you guys care about this game and I want you to know I do as well.
Not everybody suspected of breaking the rules actually is, but I tend to believe you guys see more than I do.
Help me keep your server fair for all players.

Lol I've crashed Commander Spacewalk at three different locations today, despite him being "online" and fully lit up the entire time
If you lanx his planets his script is sending about 10 transport missions each with a single LC from one planet to another, some even going to the same place Exactly the same with Vice Jericho. You would think they were both the same account as everything is identical and I crashed him once today too even though he was lit up like Time Square for the duration.
