Marketplace Auto Return of Resources after 3 days needs to be removed and/or changed

  • I am no longer trying to sell resources in the Marketplace, they apparently get removed without warning (no message) if not sold in 3 days, they just appeared back onto the planet I was selling them from and apparently they take a 25% fee instead of 15% for this action. The marketplace is DUMB if this is how it will work. There should not be an automatic resource return without warning especially if it costs a higher fee...

I don't mind a 15% fee if I need to cancel an offer, but in the older unis, no one is buying in the marketplace and so it is not worth the risk to try and sell in the marketplace if you must sell within 3 days and if not sold, then a 25% fee is taken and your resources are returned to a planet WITHOUT WARNING. I only saw them on a planet because they exceeded my storage capability. When you normally sell on the marketplace, you get a message saying to Collect your resources which is great if a trade happens when you are not online as then resources don't sit unprotected.

GameForge needs to fix this with how it works. I would say remove the 3 day window and leave it unlimited. If someone is trying to store resources on the marketplace, the 15% fee is incentive enough to not do this. We are also limited by only a number of offers that we can put out there. We also need a better place to see all details of the marketplace. All I find is bits and pieces on the forum. We need a location to know how it works and all of the rules. I just lost a ton of resources because of the 25% rule which I can make back, but I would have never used the marketplace if I knew this is how it would work.

  • I just want to add that it is more than enough to charge for when something sells, but to charge even more for when it doesn't sell makes the marketplace only work for buyers, not for sellers. Something needs to change. Look at successful online marketplaces like Amazon and Ebay, they charge a fee when something sells, but you don't get charged 25% when it doesn't sell.

The 15% cancellation fee is the only fee needed besides when charging for actually selling something.
