Formula Flightspeed New Update

  • Hey guys, im here with another question. This time regarding a clear formula. I have been searching the forum for answers but english is not my native language. Therefore i'm probably looking for wrong terms.

    So i'm just trying to get to know the game better and understand everything very well.

    If i calculate the speed of my cargo's i'm always wrong from an accurate calculator.

    Ill use LC as first example cause im confused with SC

    Speed uni = x3Fleet/x5Eco

    Speed LC = 7.500

    Combustion = 12

    this makes the formula // 7500 * (1 + 0,1 * 12)

    so my speed should be 16.500

    Now my questions

    * Where do i add the x3FleetSpeed

    * How should i calculate the speed vs the amount of systems the fleet should fly

    * And please explain to me where the 100% speed bonus for my Collector class should be added

    thanks in advance

  • The fleetspeed of the universe is added when you calculate the flighttime (your second question). The "16500" is just the maximum speed of your LC.

    For your second question:

    If you fly in your own solar system (1:1:1 to 1:1:2)

    10+[35.000/X*ROOT((1.000.000+A*5000)/Y)/Z

    If you fly in your galaxy (1:1:1 to 1:2:1)

    10+[35.000/X*ROOT((2.700.000+B*95.000)/Y)/Z

    If you fly to another galaxy (1:1:1 to 2:1:1)

    10+[35.000/X*ROOT((C*20.000.000)/Y)/Z

    where:

    A= distance between planets

    B= distance betweens solar systems

    C= distance between galaxies

    X= speed % (ranges from 10 to 100)

    Y= speed of the ship (16.500 in your case)

    Z= fleetspeed of your universe

    If you fly with different ship types always use the speed of the slowest ship.

  • I have some trouble parsing this formula:

    I'm in a 4x fleet speed uni(Cygnus) and have combustion drive lvl 19. When sending LC 10 systems away the game gives me a flight duration of 18m 37s.

    when taking the system-system formula

    10+[35.000/X*ROOT((2.700.000+B*95.000)/Y)]/Z (assumed the location of the closing quare bracket and it having the purpouse of a normal bracket)

    and substituting my values:

    10+[35.000/100*ROOT((2.700.000+10*95.000)/21.750)]/4

    I resolve it to:

    10+[35.000/100*ROOT((2.700.000+10*95.000)/21.750)]/4 =

    10+[35.000/100*ROOT(167.8)]/4 = 27.01 (16.75 when I move the closing square bracket to the end.)

    How do I translate the answer from the formula to the flight time? Or have I interpreted the formula wrongly?

  • I think it has to be as follows:

    (10+(35.000/X)*ROOT((2.700.000+B*95.000)/Y))/Z

    or

    (10+(35.000/X)*((2.700.000+B*95.000)/Y)^0,5)/Z

    But could it be that the speed of your LC is 22.500 instead of 21.750? Don't forget when your in an alliance with the trader class you get an extra 10% of your base speed.

  • If you're using this formula to do something like time a recalled deployment, how does rounding affect the result, for example if you get an additional fraction of a second for the total deploy duration?
