  • I think cargoes into df should stay as 30% the way it is

    The % of df should increase upto 50% on other fleet

    in this way , no miners are affected with the update

    With more ress from hits ( people can pay more to buy deuterium as well )

    so a win - win for all

  • I agree with DF% Going up. I mean 30% is ancient now. Even 40% would be much better.

    I vote 50%.

    Everything else is fine. Although I am never opposed to eco going up to x6 or x7.

  • Having thought about it a bit and discussed with a few people, I was thinking that maybe carbon is right (i know shocking) with the increase to 50% DF. Id support an eco increase to 6x or 7x.

    I know I shouldn't suggest a fleet speed increase to the uni but i was only thinking to double it to 2x. Noticed quite a few unis with 2x fleet speed and high eco speed nowadays. Faster collects and transports are mainly where i'm looking with this.

  • Eco x6 or x7, 40% or 50% Debris and maybe 0.5 Deut consumption. I feel we should get an all or nothing vote though, where we either get all these setting or none of them so it is balanced for fleeters and miners

    Fleet speed should definitely not be increased though

    High ranked miner, been playing way too long.
    Also have a Youtube channel with the same name (MCW UK), and I buy deut at 2.4/1.4/1

  • Every fleeter wants bigger df, thats great but we wont get it without the miner vote as they greatly outnumber fleeters...

    So I say to tie the vote together: x6 (or x7) eco AND 50% df

    But not one without the other just yes or no. Just my opinion

  • Eco to x6 or x7 to bring us in line with some of the other servers seems logical - after all, at some point it's likely those uni's will merge with ours.


    As for an increase in DF I'm quite sceptical....


    With the General Class for instance, The remote Wreckfield, cheaper fuel and Reaper auto harvest make for a significant reduction in costs and losses. Incresing the DF% could make it very hard not to make a profit on any sort of crash. If thats what we all want of course?


    The biggest problem I have with all the changes of late is we're losing the sense of danger - The risk of losing a significant amount of ones time and effort. This is the addictive part that has kept me going regularly the past decade+


    With the relative cost of building and operating ships now so cheap, and an ever more significant part of losses easilly recoverable where do we end up?

  • yeah lordy but u forget that miners have it easy when they lose their cargo fleet with res its not a big deal for them its minor setback

    most of fleeters dont have that big mines and they risk a lot with each flight and everything for little benefit in this uni

    getting more eco without benefit for fleeters is a no for me, cause we already got one like that previously

    Also i doubt that a lot of ppl are using general when disco is as op as it is atm

  • For the economy boost argument. Yes before we got the 5x boost people were whining about it. When we got it they quieted down pretty quick. The reasoning behind the boost was simple, when other Uni's get merged into this Uni with us we are going to be playing catch up due to our lower economy issues. And during the last merge we seen this. Some pretty large accounts came here to Uni. 1 and here we are playing catch up (and playing pretty well at it too). Now that we have that 5x economy boost its going to be easier for GF to move maybe a 6x or 7x into Uni. 1 in the future. Do we really want to be playing catch up with say WarMachine?.....Now granted I don't foresee Quantum moving into Uni. 1 but I'm sure you get my point.


    To give some further perspective I have an account that was in Andro and was moved into Quantum during the last merge. That account had half of the points my Uni. 1 account had at the time of the merge. My Quantum account has passed my Uni. 1 account in points (and I literally have no fleet in over there my points are all economy).

  • Some good points indeed.


    A lot of the newer uni's seemed to me about giving new players a leg-up for a competetive chance in later mergers. However the unbalance of it all has led to younger accounts overwhelming much older ones so It's natural we're going to desire a more level playing field. But does this next mean fleet speed multipliers and defence into debris later on?


    With the increased Economy comes yet another big bump in pathfinder expedition riches. This is fast making Expo's and idle farming the dominant provider of universe resource creation. And what gets turned into ships, most gets turned back into debris and wreck fields when smashed.


    I'm actually fast going off the thought of building any more mines - maybe thats a positive thing!

  • I'm OK with all the suggestions so far.

    No Def in to Debris or fleet speed multiplier jumps... (1X only) for UNI 1

    No probes with cargo space...

    6X-7X eco, 50-70% db fields

    Reduce (eco rate * 33%??) the discoverer's eco multiplier to rebalance the classes.

    So sad to see fleeters out attacking dumb/weaker Ai opponents.

    Tools for the GO's to actively hunt bots!
