So it's been almost two months since I hit vendelboen the first time. After the initial hit on him, we have talked quite a bit and exchanged pleasantries. I have launched a couple of times on him, each time costing about 60 mil in deuterium, however I knew that I only had to hit him once to get that sweet profit.
So I was busy making breakfast and was waiting for my fleetsave to come back. I looked at his moon and saw that there was a star on there. Well I took a look and lo and behold there was his fleet with a 30 minute timer. He had a bad habit of coming online just a couple of minutes after I launched, but I tried anyway. I sent just the fast ships since with my destroyers it would take another 6 minutes, in hindsight I should've sent the destroyers and transporters with the attack. I also didn't send any followups since I was sure he would come online.
Well he didn't come online, and I made another 6.8G. He came online after 20 or so minutes and said he slept over his alarm, shit happens but good for me :).
