Just wondering if anyone has ever received RL threats on Boards or ingame and what would your response be to that.....
I get it that there is black humor , insults and heavy insults ingame and boards , but personaly i think a RL threat is a new level of stupidity 
And in that sense what would the response be of ogame community ?

I remember when I played balkan ogame, I met this guy who lived about 10-15 mins drive from me and we became friends after attacking each other for a while.
Anyway, we found another target and molested the living hell out of him and the defender sent the friend something in style of "I know you go on vacation to Krk (an island close by) and one day I might just accidentally lose control of my truck while you're walking near the road". 
I was like wtf dude report him and call the police but he just found it really funny and did nothing. I have him on FB and he's still alive so I guess he hasn't been to Krk lately or the defender cooled off 
I don't think the rules have changed since my days as GA, so if you get RL threats, it's perm ban. But you have to report the msg, of course.
Yeah, its a zero tolerance policy on Real-Life Threats PERIOD!
in i think uni 12 someone said i would gut you like a pig in real life he got perma banned

I had a But Hurt Cardinal-Fan call me retarded like 60 times in the time period of 10minutes,
Quite a laugh, so i just played the idiot and i could feel the tension he was under, " im saying all these horrible things, but he isnt giving up I DoNt UnDeRsTaNd"
he then went to call me a Virgin who lives in his mothers basement, then went to say he would Dox me and Ruin my life.
What you gonna Do, Find out where i Live. And then Continue to somehow Ruin my Life which he was implying i didn't have a life to ruin,

Sticks and stones will Break my Bones, But internet Trolls are Actually realy Unstable on the inside and so it is ok to make life harder for them.
ps, not implying it was cardinal, but if it was this would have been 1000x better

Ah the old RL threats..
received many over the years when I was still an admin / CoMa (not just at Ogame but over the many communities I managed).
Plenty of one off RL threats; accusations of being nazi, or racist (like I know what anyone's race is behind the screen..); being sent tickets with scat pr0n attached; being sent 400+ emails in the space of 30 minutes calling me every name under the sun (about 5-6 emails sent 90 odd times each..) thank god for email filters, blocked that out quickly ^^
Those are just the ones off the top of my head.
I think the worst was a guy who was really bad news in one of my communities, managed to collect plenty of evidence and finally had enough and he earnt himself a permaban, dozens of emails and tickets accusing me of corruption, spamming anyone on IRC, then on FB with anyone that had GF listed.. then it became he'd pay anyone 10k to talk to first Phelan (Head of CoMa back then), then Klaas Kersting (joint owner at the time), then that 10k was to be spent on a lawyer to sue me, then on someone to come break my legs. All the evidence had long been passed up the ladder and confirmed / agreed with it, so he wasn't getting out of it.
Even had a couple in my active player days after crashing a few people.
It never worried me that much really tbh. *shrug*
But yes kids, RL threats are bad! don't make them - even in jest.

This will be my last reply on this thread and probably the last one ( i said probably ) on boards.

Seeing Theweekend unbanned for something he really did and threaten me ( which includes by any standards the family you live with ) is the last drop.
I know we all do mistakes and there was no apology or anything from him but instead he continue to spread around not only threat but giving a promise to visit me eventually.
Let us be clear im no Saint here or i want to be present like that but that was to much.
This forced me to retire ( and definetly retire ) , i know some one will say good ridence and so on but few will say also good luck in RL ( if you can call it like that now )
Wont say a word will this be finished like this ( probably not , but will see ) , a message to Gameforge thank you for this.
Wish all of you good luck in REAL LIFE , players and your family , a specially now with Corona pandemic - hope it finishes soon
