Hello Empress and Emperors. I'm the Innkeeper of the Inn System in Mensa Universe. I retired to this peaceful life after losing several fleets under my (un)command. Now I feel better and I'm serving few regular customers. My Innpire being around rank 500, I get customers from ranks 700 to 50. And whenever I can, I'm still opening new Bars around the System.
Just wanted to let some people know that winning is not always to best way to have the most fun. Staying competitive is an engagement to the game that some can't afford. And some find their pleasure in the Collector Turtle play-style. Mine comes from the thought that I know who's raiding me, making contacts and friends.
"But that's pushing!" Well, I confess I only read the rules quickly once (I bet that's still more than the average). But here's the catch, I'm being raided, and that's my fault for not building defense or fleet, but I'm not sending the resources myself. Also, not having defense makes me vulnerable to weaker players, being raided more regularly, thus not being worth for bigger players, helping low ranked to play with the big guys. Should we talk how is this fine or bad for the game?
Another point to my defense:
I'm currently running an event I called Brawl. I'm updating my solo Alliance page as a mean of News dashboard for mass communication.
I fleet save my resources and will deploy them all on 1 planet. This event being communicated to my customers (buddies), I'm hoping for some Lanx Action, ACS Def, ACS Atk, Mass Crash, DF Stealing, and all that focused on a single point. I sent a fleet rec+prob from the Meeting Point Planet to spy deep space at low speed as sort of countdown for when the rest of the resources should arrive too.
There's also an implicit part: the winners of this Brawl could be happy that he recycled the fleet of 5 other emperors and thanks me by helping me build better mines for the next Brawl. So this isn't explicit but the benefits goes both ways.
