Defense-to-debris: Making a moon with rocket launchers

Hi,

Is it possible to make a moon exclusively out of the metal debris from bashed rocket launchers?

I'm at my 30th attempt, and no luck, so far.

The CR does say Moon Chance 20%, though.

As far as I know, yes you can, just like you can have a moon created solely from crystal (from sats, or probes).

Your just having some bad luck, keep going.

If you can go without, maybe wait until the next 40% event (though there's no guarantee that it'll be any better).

Over the years, I've known some people to go 40-50+ moonshots without a moon, all depends on the RNG.

but do repaired defenses count towards DF%? Do ipm strikes?

Only destroyed defence goes to DF.

Afaik IPM strikes don't produce DF.

I'm at attempt #30. Nothing, so far.

The odds are 0.8^30, or 0.0012, or 1/1000.

Perhaps I'm just unlucky.
