    Hello,


    So i have a question that i thinks is valid and shared by a lot of people.


    In the beggining of v7 i chose Collector class, as it looked like the best fit for me.

    After that, and paying close attention to the power of the discoverer class, I PAID DM to change classes.

    When the change was made, the class had a fixed set of perks and features.


    Feature removal


    Now i see that you're beggining to remove, unilaterally, some of the Features, and by the looks of it a lot more will be done in the name of balance. I agree with this, it is needed for the long term stability of the game, BUT i paid for something that was decided unilaterally to be changed. I do not consent to this, since i bought the Class exclusively for its features, therefore i wanted to know and be clarified by some one of the Team, what is GameForge going to do to compensate the Customers in this case? Will we have a free Class Change? a DM bonus in our accounts equivalent to atleast 80% of the Class value? Anything?


    Or is this just going to be another decision that has no consideration for its base users?

    I would like to point out that in this case is not involved a light subject, like banning or not, bug or whatsoever.

    This is a contractual relationship, between someone who offers a Feature for money and then do not comply with the terms of the sell. I think that German law might have something to say about this.

    Nope, the only announcement was the removal of the DM associated with the PathFinder.

    This looks a small change but it consists, nevertheless in an unilateral contractual change.


    By the looks of it, work has begun to try and balance the classes, nerfing the Discoverer.

    Now, my question comes before the announcements, in order to try and give a heads up to the management regarding this issue.

    Otherwise, we might aswell wait for them to change and act with the German Consumer Defence Laws.

    I rather ask in advance, its best for everyone involved

    At the moment the announcement serves as a prior warning and gameforge is not obligated to provide you a refund as they reserve the right to change the game at their whom based on the terms and conditions you agreed to when creating your account.

    the only ignorance I see is coming from you. You cass would give you the same answer, she’s only a moderator too. You got the only answer you’re likely to get.

    There was no arrogance or attitude in my post just a blunt statement of fact.


    If what you are saying about contract and paid features were to ever hold up in a court then there would simply be no games in Germany as they would never be able to change except by very long drawn out pricy concensus which most companies just wouldn't bother with. (See lootboxes in countries that labeled lootboxes as gambling)


    Additionally you didn't purchase with money the class change. You purchased a valueless currency in the game and that was what was delivered to you. Gameforge or any game company is not liable for how you chose to spend that valueless currency

    you know what i find most facinating about all of this. Why change the DM finds? Ohhh wait it hits GF in their pocket. Oke.


    Fuck balancing the classes.. noooo DM change is the most important and should be hotfixed RIGHT NOW.


    The gaming industry has become a cancer on this planet, greedy ass people GF is tone deaf to their consumer.


    - we complain about adds over our login screen which pop up just a second later than the login screen so you press the goddamn add. Fuck all is being done about that.

    Marketing department: euhhh excuse me, i know nothing about game development but this problem can only be solved by removing the DM perk obviously.

    should know by now, money in every way possible comes first, customers come second. ppl dont buy DM cause they find DM, cant have that so every1 knows a "fix" was coming, and ofc it was expected to happen after adding something like buy your ress for a day, (untill they add a week or month)

    The Answer is stop spending your money on the game untill Gameforge give you/playerbase what is needed to make this game great again. It needs to be done as a collective effort not just single individuals here and there to be effective to force Gameforge to listen and act...But that wont happen as people greed and selfish hunger for Rank/advance is far to greater than the future of ogames integrity for gameplay..

    to answer the question, we are not planning on doing refunds due to features changig in the game.

    The game is under constant development and things do get changed, "balanced" or even removed over time.


    The premium perks are offered for as long as they are part of the development of the game and it is the player's choice to pay to use them or not, but paying for premium features doesn't grant the right to decide what comes and goes from the game so unfortunately what you are asking for is not an option.


    I'm not meant to be rude, I apologise if it sounds like that or too direct, I'm just trying to give straight answers to the questions.

    if a company decides to screw its customers and provide higher perceived value than actual value, customers will respond and let the company run into the ground and die


    if it decides to give value, customers will reward that company


    i will keep buying DM from them only because ive invested 10 years into this game and its one of a kind, but god i hate the practice they have instated with this discoverer shit


    evolutionarily speaking, GF will be exiting the gene pool quite soon. Just stand by and watch its demise slowly but surely

    DM change is annoying but yea i dont really care, as long as they dont change the resource amount we can find i am fine even if finding up to 300k dm during a 9x event is really nice for non wallet wariors
