We only know that they will observe how it is going ingame when it gets shut down and evaluate. Based on these conclusions they will probably decide.

They don't need shut it down, just enforce the trade rates for all transactions. P2P, P2MP, P2M.
Set a fixed trade rate for all transactions.

The Marketplace surely has impacted the amount of DM spent on the Resource and Scrap merchants.
I can kinda guess the conclusion of these observations.
Still, if removing the market place fixes the logout issue then I'm all for it!

As ogame turned totally p2w crap, no point to disable marketplace. And no point of Pushing rule, as it’s legalised by that.

I'm surprised they never put a DM copay into MP transactions honestly...sucks to lose it now, the damage is already done and removing it will just make that point gap disparity even more in most cases.

Well that sucks if the marketplace is gone then they need to make all ships available to everyone to build not just crawlers for one class, pathfinders for another class and reapers for general class.
so Gf if you take away market place then you have to make it so everyone can build every ship in the shipyard.
GF get a grip everyone is using the marketplace if your so worried about pushing then make a limit on the big boys.

We do not know what plans Gameforge has in store for the marketplace feature.
Right now, we know they are shutting it down in one universe in .es.
We have not even been informed why they are shutting it down.
Perhaps they have some code changes they want to roll out and a semi-busy server like the one in .es might be the perfect test bed.
Perhaps they are shutting it down completely and implementing something else.
Honestly, we do not know.
Everything is pure speculation.
So, pay attention to the News section for more information.

it gets turned off in just over 24 hours.
The lack of information is the usual BS from Gameforge though, they know it's their biggest and ongoing failure, but refuses to even try and address it.

If I can not use the market place then I want to build all three ships in my shipyard and have the same as all the other classes you stuffed up Discovery class I do not do expos now 1 a day perhaps nothing like before its not worth my time.

I want all the perks to be added to my accounts like deut fleets return to my space dock after battle 10% extra planet field 5% fleet slow down 5% moon fields same with collector class wow you really stuffed up this time I am starting to hate this game

It was probably decided to be shut down because of the pushing issues.
There were many issues, but I agree that the ability of trading ships via the mp is something that was a big bonus. Now you can only find other ships (not the crawler though) via expeditions.
To be able to build the other ships would entirely defeat the purpose of even having classes.
