Account in graveyard disappeared from lobby

  • Is that normal due to ogame version 8.0.0?

If the answer is yes, i saw that the last update is scheduled for the 7th of june, we already have a date to have back those accounts in our lobbies?

    thanks

  • I'm told (by someone who was told in a ticket reply) it's been disabled from the lobby for the duration of the transfer script being disabled.

Why they have chosen to do this, I do not know - it makes little sense to me (disabling the uni from the lobby, not disabling the script).

As usual, there was no mention of this in the news announcements I have seen (here, .us, .de..).

Why was this not mentioned in the thread about the inactivity script being disabled?

The sky is not the limit it is only the genesis of dreams.

    Edited 2 times, last by Wraith02 ().

  • because there is a separated thread for ?

    17.05: Inactivity Transfer Script Off

  • But that says nothing about the GRAVEYARD SERVER being disabled from the lobby, just the script that moves accounts there being disabled.

The sky is not the limit it is only the genesis of dreams.

  • The Graveyard server has been disabled.

    The reason:

With the update comes a new operating system update.

Because the servers will have different operating systems, the merge system will not work correctly.

To prevent any risk to any accounts, the transfer script has been shut down as has the Graveyard server.

All data is still intact and merges from the Graveyard should be open for business as usual shortly after the 7th of June.

  • Yet, there is no mention of the server itself being disabled in the post, or any information that we have been given.

There is the quote taken from the thread as I write this.. The only thing it talks about is the Inactivity Script, NOT the server being disabled.

As usual, the information given to us from Gameforge is as clear as mud.

The sky is not the limit it is only the genesis of dreams.

  • First of all thanks for the answer.

I got that part about the inactivity script disabled, what i miss is if is normal that the account that there was in the graveyard are no longer visible in my lobby cause this wasn't mentioned in the post below

  • We didn't know it was going offline either.

Honestly, I'm not sure anybody knew until after the rollout started.

It is fair to say, we were in a rather...

    flexible... :hmm:

posture yesterday reacting to all the different things.

We can only give the information we have and by we I also mean the CoMas...

Weird things happened yesterday so everybody was reacting quickly.

It seems decisions were made quickly and feedback was very fluid meaning it was rapidly changing.

It is hard to put out concrete information when nobody knows what will change next due to the issues encountered.

I understand the frustration the lack of information creates.

Sometimes it just is not possible to put out information before the fact.

Nobody was maliciously trying to ensure the players knew nothing.

Nobody was purposely withholding information and laughing manically.

This is a simple case of quick-reaction decisions being made during an update process due to unforeseen issues during that process.

  • I understand fully and I apologize for the lack of information.

I know the shock of seeing an account go missing was not pleasant.

A lot of things happened very quickly yesterday.

Because of the quick nature of decisions taken yesterday and today, it had not been possible to provide concrete announcements.

All we can do is ask for your patience as Gameforge works through the issues.

  • No worries, i'm not blaming you (or anyone else) about the information unprovided, everybody should knows that the staff has no clue to avoid information to the players and if there is something that have not been told is mostly cause the company didn't say anything to you first.

i opened the thread just to make sure that the accounts are safe somewhere and are not lost, even if we cannot see them
