For sometime now, Putnik has been much like a zombie...like the living-dead: walking amongst us, unaware that his life was no longer his.
We got to work thinking about Putnik some weeks ago, and several times I found myself wondering if he ever thinks of me, the way I think of him.
We gathered 3480 RIPs for the party on his moons. Decided who would mobile where. Selected a date earlier this week the day his time was up.
We mobiled in, most of us expecting to find the fleet in G6. We did not. And slowly most moons were going down and coming up empty, until our final set, in G1. All our hopes rested on the capable skills of those pilots, and they did not disappoint. We found the fleet on xgal deploy, over 60hrs...
We assigned shifts for lanxing, teams of two lanxing for intervals of 30mins to 1hr before switching. We did this for two days before target recalled. We calculated return and the rest is, as they say, history
