You don't need to go in vmode to merge. When you follow the procedure, there will be a checklist of conditions you need to meet (like no fleet movement). If all is green, you can proceed

After you merge, whether it's a bridge universe or your final target, your account is placed automatically in vacation mode. When you log in after your move, vacation mode is removed.
If you are already in vacation mode before you merge, it is kept after you merge even if you log in again. At least, this was the case for me.

Yesterday I could't choose only Bellatrix, today - also Oberon
Magic.
Seriously though, it is possible not all universes will show up for whatever reason.
There is a procedure you can use if your desired target does not appear in the list.
See the very first question and answer here for the procedure:

And will I receive rewards in the destination universe (final universe) ? -
Has anyone else lost the rewards that we started prior to the merge? It was only a log in each day set of tasks, but was already on day 3 but my merged accounts have now been put back to 0. That strikes me as a little unfair on all the merging people.

Exactly, just make sure you send it to OGame.uk, so we see it. And it doesn't particularly matter who you let know, the right people will be informed either way.
Just... please don't actually shoot anyone... it's too much paperwork!

Common Questions Answers Not all targets are showing up! What do I do?
It might happen that the desired target doesn't show immediately for you to select. In this case, if you want we can help to move the account but for that we will need some steps:
- Select one of the available targets that you have and transfer the account there.
- Do not interact with the "bridge" universe (read: stay in vacation mode and do not do anything). - Send us a support ticket with which bridge universe you used and your desired target.
- Shoot a staff member a PM with your ticket number so we can try and get you merged as quickly as possible.
These steps are needed for you to have the free relocations since a manual merge of the account won't grant any relocations or perks.
