Class change and bonuses

  • Hi,

I want to ask about class change bonuses for general and discoverer.

General have +5 moon fields bonus, if I change class I will loose those fields or I will permamently have them? If I loose fields what will happen to buildings? Buildings will work even if I have more fields used than I have?

Discoverer have +10% bonus to planet fields. If I change class I will lose those 10% of fields on every planet that I colonized or fields will stay unchanged?

Also if I have class collector and crawlers on each planet and I will change class I will still have crawlers until somebody will destroy them or they will deactivate or something?

  • Planet size stays the same also when you change class from Discoverer, because the diameter of the planet stays the same. You can build normally after it.

General +5 moon fields are removed when you change class (it's like Gold Moon Fields, but +5 fields, that gets deleted). But all of buildings remain. It's a pain, because if you want to develop your moon further, you have to destroy up to 5 buildings to be able to build new Lunar Base. So, develop your moon like you want it before you change class from General.

^^. omg so general bonus is not permament while discoverer bonus is permament.

How lunar base works then? So I will have more space used than I have and can I build lunar base without having any space left? I mean if this works like : require 0 fields adds +2 or it works like require 1 field adds +3??

  • Lunar base requires 1 field, gives two. There is no change in this functionality... General just gives 5 extra fields. It makes it possible to get a jump gate much faster on a mobile colony, which is the main point. You need to play as true fleeter to appreciate this.

moon diameter squared = possible fields

    8.944km ^2 = 80 possible fields

each moon starts with 1 available field

Each lunar base occupies 1 field and increases available fields by 4 until the max possible is reached

The general bonus (Like a field bonus item) is better than a theoretically larger moon, because you don’t need to build a lunar base to access the extra fields.
