Any updates on when the Life forms expansion will be out on all servers? I know it was said that it won't come out in march, but we are past that and we didn't get any new info on the matter.

With any sort of luck they will NEVER see the light of day in uni 1.
If you want to play this kiddie version of OG, go to a uni that already has them and leave existing uni's as is.

I played the test servers and it doesn't enhance the enjoyment of playing ogame, it's a totally different experience and I didn't like it.

That is easy to say. To get something good out of life forms you need a lot of resources, and i don't plan on starting an account from 0. I want to benefit from everything i build on my current account. Not to mention i don't like the stats of the servers that currently have life forms. And not everyone is of the same opinion with you. It is easy to say to leave the existing universes alone, but what about the people that want the expansion and like me, don't want to start from 0? I agree that there should be some universes left alone. But as it is in most games, when something new comes in, it is usually applied everywhere, you just have to adapt to it, weather you like it or not. The expansion might not give you any enjoyment, but even if it comes onto your server, there is nothing stopping you from simply not using the life forms. You will be at a disadvantage, but still, you will still be able to play the game. It is not up to us after all. Gameforge will decide if this will apply to every universe or not. We can only like or dislike it.

the last official statement I saw on the DE boards was “no further update” and that was roughly 4 weeks ago. I wouldn’t expect them soon.

As some people do not like change to there games and that is fair enough, If you play in a uni like uni 1 and if they do eventually activate life forms you do not have to build then to continue with your game.
I played in Vega for ages without activating any lifeforms so its up to me when and if you choose to play them.
I can decide to play humans on one planet and non on the others and that is what i have done I activated humans and working only on the one planet the other planets have nothing so its up to you to decide if you want to play them or not.
The program is already in uni 1 its just not turned on. So if you prefer not to play them then you have that option just play the game as is.
The only difference is you can choose to play them or not to play them, you can decide what planet to have them on and what planets you do not want them on, the choice is yours to play your game as you want to play.

I find it unacceptable for the Gameforge not to have a timetable for when the integration will take place to old unis.
As he announced the upgrade, he should have announced the implementation date as well.

I play in the Spanish community...
- They haven't announced mergers for more than a month.
- No update with life forms for more than 6 months.
There is no communication and respect for the players.

honestly if GF knew what they were doing, they would have done the mergers, with those wanting Lifeforms and those who dont.. simple as that, but here we are with these illigitimate accounts loaded up on Cheap as chips Dark matter and 111,110 Rips.... a unfathomable/ unattainable amount of Rips....

To answer your question first, most updated community uptil now and with most active coma is ogame.de board, u can always go check their game section on top, no need to create account to see any info in their lifeforms tread witch sirschwester if i remember correctly updates "regulary" . I'd say it will prolly come few weeks after all communitys finish their merges, so it pulls less stress on servers with the "MAJOR" lifeforms update. But roughly i'd say either arround July, or either myb after summer, due their vacations and such.. so lets say in timeline of 1-3months roughly ( God i hope i'm wrong and it comes sooner, but thats the general thoguht ) . I hope this helps u even slightest. Also u can join community .de on discord serv and ask each few weeks or such, you will probably get some answers or atleast you can learn and prepair ur "lf" playstyle so you are "equipped" with some knowdlege.

Honestly regarding the lifeforms, not to upset or either get mad or interfere with someone's opinion, cause i respect everyone's. I'd say lifeforms is major update and thing witch we need. Cause each class brings u good benefits. If they are expensive for new accs? YES! But you will progress with them same as you would with high ranked ( pointed ) accs. But looking at good side of it, it's just an upgrade witch will help you reach some "end goals" or either mines/researches FASTER . Since most of LF's if played well, bring u good amounts of extra bonus productions, especially for players who play without boosters or just bare minimum DM, this will give them chance to grow faster and add something to their "arsenal" . I love especially Kaeleshs expo techs, with being discoverer and their expo ship/ress bonuses, combined with rock'tal's production bonus techs, its HUGE HUGE gains. I tryed em from higher point accs and 0 point accs in newer unis, and with good ress distribution and some 0 to low DM usage, you can really progress much faster, and you have almoust each day something to click, instead to wait for weeks to click 1 Mine lvl, this way its more fun...
I understand people who dont like it, cause all those DM abusers will benefit more then them and will just boost themseleves even higher... But Ogame is game of wonders, ppl come and go on vm and off vm, so everyone gets a chance to progress. Forget the thing about ranks since its all from v 1.0 till v 5.9 before heavy dm abusage.. play for FUN , this is just a PIXEL GAME, a "thing" to waste some of your "free time" in RL and that's it... I used to look for ranks, compete, but with all these high budget players, or change of RL situations, i changed my mindest and played for fun, to waste some free time, to meet new and amasing people, to build up a community and have SOME DEAR MEMORYS nevertheless the current situation.
That's my opinion, but to make it short in few facts:
1. Lifeforms is a decent and good upgrade, witch is helpfull ALOT, i can see only BENEFIT in it, cause when you look at it, ITS FREE , and it gives u "FREE BOOSTERS" that cost no DM.2. It's FUN , FUN FUN & even more FUN! Since u get to click daily something
3. I know high players benefit from it, but even lower do

yeah at this stage of ogame, im waiting weeks/ months to do anything worth while, which is disapointing as ogame isnt just a battle sim, its a trade sim, war sim, eco sim build sim. but alot of people lose track of that because everything is basicaly cucked behind a massive wait wall of hey mate, you need to save up for 3 months to get 1/2 the way to astro.
planets are not a issue these days because if you cant manage the amount of planets then so be it like how if you cant manage a large fleet then so be it.tldr
Bring us Life forms, so those of us who dont just attack then hide behind a blue sheild can have something else to do, besides playing the waiting game.

Yeah the whole announcing the update, and it still not being out a year later is crazy.
Then it feels like rubbing salt in the would that they suddenly announce things deuterium to debris field and skipping empty systems. instead of clearly working on actually finishing the v9 update.
oh and ofc letting new universes get the endgame content first...

From what i read on the board, implementing the lifeform extension in old, established servers which are still fairly populated, like uni1, causes a massive performance degradation (which does not surprise me in the slightest) so the implementation is postponed until someone comes out with a fix.
I don't think it can be easily fixed, or fixed at all, because i think the performance drop is not caused by bugs or code inefficiences but by the how whole thing is designed to work. I might be wrong tho.

drop life forms down now with 1week attack ban so lag doesn't cause anybody getting crashed and let us get clicking , id rather have week worth of lag at 1st while we get the 1-20lvls out of the way than wait 2years for a fix

nothing changed in that aspect for 20years, why all of the sudden u guys are like yo lets not drop it yet coz its causing lags lol
i would much prefer now and deal with issues than 2 years later and deal with same issues anyway

Awesome idea, but i'd rather err on the safe side here. One week might not be enough, let's make it one month, or 3.
