Finding Artefacts, any way to improve odds?

I heard its related to the number of auctions you bid on. The less you bid, the more artifacts you get.

On my side, I've never heard of such a thing, so it would seem astonishing but why not. Let's see if a confirmation can be given.

For me, it's a "classic grind", you have to launch lifeforms expeditions as often as possible and cross your fingers to get a lot of artefacts at once.

Do you build Lifeforms stuff on every planet and if so have all three or just pick one?
