Enable Deut to DF and 0.5 Deut Costs in Gaspra

    I am creating this thread to request a poll to change the DF settings in Gaspra to turn on deut to DF and to change the Deut costs from 1x to 0.5.


    Deut into DF does not benefit nor harm miners who are playing this universe, simply they won't be looking to create new DFs from crashes. The DF rate of the universe also means that it doesn't suddenly become extra profitable to attack miners for an extra 200 deut per sat or 400 deut per crawler.

    It is fair to say that this change would benefit fleeters more, but I believe it would promote fleeters looking to hunt more fleet as there'd be more benefit from this. Hopefully promoting more activity.

    Now let's assume a miner is targeted. Generally it would be predominantly cargo's, so with LC and SC this wouldn't change anything. The profit would remain the same.

    Attacking fleets becoming more profitable => People might start to hunt fleets more.



    Bringing me onto the 2nd point... Change deut costs from 1x to 0.5x.

    Again this would hopefully boost activity within the universe.

    Miners will have more deut to trade as a result of cheaper transport and fleetsaving costs.

    Fleeters will be able to launch more attack attempts against other fleeters (coupled with first change).



    Open to some discussion and if there's a strong preference towards only one going to vote then I'd rather that go forward than trying to push both and it getting rejected.

    Change consumption: Yes (specify value)/ No

    I would settle for anything to reduce deut costs but if I'm given free choice then obviously I wouldn't turn down 0.5


    We could always add the 'Ignore empty systems' thing into the mix :thumbsup: lol

    Just out of curiosity, Is there a limit to the number of changes that can be requested in one go? Or is it dependent on the type of changes requested?


    Just thinking increasing the general fleet to DF to 50% or more really wouldn't hurt. Especially considering that at some point in the future merges will happen and the more positive changes that can be made to make this server appealing to both miners and fleeters then the higher chance the Gaspra would end up being a 'Target Uni'. I know I would prefer to stay if given the option...

    50-60% DF

    6 Galaxies

    ACS On

    Deuterium into DF On

    50-70% Deut Consumption


    For me an end result which resembles something like the above would be a server which would be pretty appealing to 1 x War speed players if we were to be chosen as a Target server.

    I see that the majority seems to be proposing 0.7.


    I ask, however, would you prefer to propose only 0.7 or also 0.5?


    If you do, it could split the votes and getting 70% would become more complicated.

    As a reminder, the option must have 70% to be accepted.


    I'm still waiting for a few more comments, if possible, to request the IG poll.

    I think we should propose 0.7.


    The players who chose 0.5 would likely still accept 0.7. But the players who chose 0.7 are not as likely to accept 0.5.



    So:

    Deut Consumption 0.7
