With the increasing technological progress in the field of hyper engines and the failure of the project to replace the non-ecological combustion engine of the light fighter, due to its technical design, the research division of capital ships found a possible solution.
Equipped with a state-of-the-art hyper engine supported by a graviton microwarp generator, the Supercarrier achieves battleship speeds with negligible fuel consumption, considering its hull strength, shields and especially the firepower capacity it can deliver to the battlefield.
Alone with no real firepower, the supercarrier is equipped with a hangar bay, capable of safely, quickly and cheaply delivering light fighters directly into the toughest battle, but at the cost of limited cargo capacity for raw materials.

How it works:
With base hangar bay capacity, when you select 1 Supercarrier and 1000 Light Fighters, game calculate your fuel consumption and speed of fleet always like you only sending 1 supercarrier.
(Fleet fly on hyperdrive supercarrier speed)
But when you select 1 Supercarrier and 1001 Light Fighters (for example) , with base hangar bay capacity, game calculate your fuel consumption and speed of fleet like you sending 1 supercarrier and 1 Light Fighter.
(Fleet fly with slowest ship, Light Fighter on combustion drive)
Use :
Base idea is speed up light fighters, make them usefull in fast attack scenarios, also with lowering their fuel consumption, supercarriers and light fighters can be great in app defenses too.
1000 Light Fighters have fuel consumption 20 000 unit, 1 supercarrier have only 4 000 units.
Also, supercarrier is support ship (civilian) and hangar bay can be expanded with hyperspace technology and lifeforms technology for cargohold expansion (civilian ships)
Supercarrier is not cheap, but is also massive with strong armor and shields, making it great in most defense scenarios(with other ships), with light fighters alone too.
(Balance notes)
This ship is usefull primary in fleet vs fleet scenarios, because:
Light fighters is not best against defense, destroyers/reapers/bombers are always superior here.
Against exloration fleets with lot of small/large cargos, battlecruisers is almost always better.
Supercarrier(s) alone is useless in any ofensive and most defensive scenarios.
Also, if you are fleeter, you really do not need this ship, but if you are fleeter with thousands/millions of light fighters, this ship can save you lot of fuel and time, and make you fleet even more dangerous, but almost exlusively against other fleeters, no against miners, explorers and generaly no against more peacefull playstyles.
Please, this is just an idea, I would appreciate any suggestions on how to make it better.
I am aware of the high price of a supercarrier, but I think that investment will pay off over time for anyone who uses light fighters in combat conditions.
(but also fleetsave can be cheaper with this ship)
