The poor gets poorer??? Turning it on doesn't make you loose anything extra than people already would have if they got hit. I would be surprised if there is ever a scenario where an attacker probes around and notices a fleet sitting and decides not to hit it because the DF doesn't have deut in it...

Fleets will get crashed regardless of if its on or off. People will Vmode and quit regardless of if its on or off.

I doubt anyone chose this uni due to it having deut to df off. They probably just thought it was the safest option. Those people should have gone uni 1! With lower speed and df % you could be a lot more lazy there.

If your whole point is that top accounts will get even bigger and further ahead due to turning deut to df on then wake up!... This is Ogame in 2024, Account sizes rarely have anything to do with profits from hits.

And I'm pretty sure it played a big part. And yes - we thought it was the safest option. Uni1 runs since 2004. There is a huge difference when you merge to newer uni and being in danger of 40 players then merging to an older uni and being in danger of 200 players.

For me and for another 100+ active players Lacerta started a week ago. The faster you will crush them/us - the faster uni dies. And putting more DF to this equation will lead to more hits - thus faster tendence for players to go i or v.

Changing the rules of uni after new player arrival without hearing from these players is just not fair. Out of 17 ppl (excluding me) who answered to this topic at least 11 belong to DOOM. Majority of players don't come here (to forum) as the age of forums has passed. I just hope GF will consider that unis rules shouldn't be changed due to a wish of single ali. If at least [Persistn] and [N 2] will agree to DOOMs idea - I'll comply.

first of all I'd like to say that this merge was imposed to us as well, i was pretty happy with what I had going on in Perseus but here we are.

I could have merged to any of the targets but I chose Lacerta for its specs. One being no acs, so I'd pretty much like to keep that one as it is. It's the only uni that has this feature, and since it had it from the start I think it should stay as it is. You, and now some of us, signed up for it with this feature enabled so, asking to change it doesn't feel right.

As a miner, deut in df doesn't really affect me since I just have a pure cargo fleet, few ds and pathfinders, and doubt fleeters would go after my sats and crawlers.

The impression is that yeah, the Doom alliance is dominant in this universe, which is fine, but let's vote for changes that will benefit us all (impossible, but still).

I can see myself supporting deut to df, but would like this uni to stay non acs. Otherwise it will be Perseus 2.0 - with the exception of probe storage on, ( I still wonder why Perseus was even an exodus, but it is what it is).

Doom's military power is unmatched and with acs on, seems we'll be like fish in a barrel. No acs kinda gives us hope that we won't be chewed up and spit out as easy. And don't want this to come off the wrong way but it really feels like changes will benefit the Doom alliance the most. Just my view on things.

For me personally it doesn’t really matters what happens. We came from a ACS server and it was fine there. I and i think more people came to Lacerta because the other options weren’t great either for some people. We would have come here even if ACS was on….

To try and look at it objectively, Lacerta is a ‘Miner’ server and some people did go here specifically for the NO ACS option, so it kinda weird to change it the say after the merge.

like i said: “for me it doesnt matter, i will go with the majority vote” but for maybe less active people it would be nice not to make a “miner” server a “fleeter” server…

You aware that Deu can be used for many other things than just fleeting? Deu to DF would be nice just so you can put research on. All important researches cost loads of deu so being able to raid someone for it, will speed up resource gathering.

Projecting onto other people, just because you chose this uni thanks to ACS off and DEU to DF off does not mean a lot of players did. ACS might have been an important factor for plenty but nobody looks at DF and says "Ahh that's what I am talking about".
Ironically no ACS gives an advantage to universe death as it removes the huge factor of being a part of a cooperative alliance where you cannot request a big shot to protect you from an attack.

Being attacked is just part of the game, if you cannot accept the fact that ogame is a PVP game, why do you even play?

Everyone complained about Merge, GF did what they wanted and ignored anything and everything that was voiced.
They were even considerate to create a thread for us to cry so they could eat some popcorn... but hey! we did not make it a 9 galaxies at least!

Uni rules are not decided by GF but by vote, we are requesting a vote and the result is not up to Doom but to every single player on the server.
Vote will most likely happen at some point and all you need to do is to vote for what you belive should be the outcome.

uni class determination goes from speed of attacking fleet. DEU to DF and ACS is not that factor, so miner uni have attacking speed low, 1 or 2 and jump gates cool down 1h and 30 min. fleeter unis are much faster than that with 4 or 5 attacking fleet speed and JG cool down 15 and 12 min.

We all know what happened in Perseus with the deut to DF vote No to both for me

It's really fine they way it is rn. Leave the non acs as it is, you all signed up for it when this uni was opened. We could vote on Deut in Df, and I hope every player votes for what they truly want, and not feel pressured or intimidated to vote yes.

Or indeed, how hard would it be to let the people who feel trapped in Lacerta move somewhere else? Pretty sure accounts can be moved manually between unis? We also had to choose the lesser evil in this merge, don't see why we need to be "punished" if we oppose a settings change. Can't they just rework this merge, seeing the players are not happy. But ofc the usual answer - we can't please all. Well they didn't even try for this merge.

There is no pressure, GF did an amazing job by removing all reasonable choices from the pool marking them exodus.
We ask for a vote and all players are not pressured to make their vote according to what few want.
If a vote happens you vote for what you feel is right.

I am unsure as to why a bunch of you acting like a democratic vote is kin to the North Korean government.

I agree that everyone was put in the situation of choosing the lesser evil as you are clearly aware.
No, they cannot rework the merge, voicing here is pointless after bashing them for a week after they announced the merge.
I bet people who made the roster don't even open boards and just drop it by a no-reply email to board admins and leave it.
Based on the history of merges, they never try and never listen so my above statement sounds about right.
