Server Settings Change Request

    Hello lovely Leo-Community,


    we finally have our own Board and I would like to request a setting change for our universe.


    Here is my suggestion:


    • SpeedFleetPeaceful: x2 --> x4
    • SpeedFleetWar: x1 --> x2
    • SpeedFleetHolding: x1 --> x4
    • DebrisFactor: 0.4 --> 0.6
    • Deuterium in Debris: No --> Yes
    • GlobalDeutSaveFactor: 0.7 --> 0.5

    Thank you for sharing your wishes here. Normally, we make changes to uni settings with an in-game poll.

    Also, did you think about whether you'd like a group merge with other OG SI universes?

    of course you can make an in-game poll for the setting changes.

    Then everyone can vote and know immediately that a possible setting change is coming.


    About the merge I will talk to the active players in Leo and come back to you later.

    But I think we all agree, that first the setting changes would be good before talking about a merge.

    One step after another I would say :)


    When can we expect the in-game poll regarding the setting changes?

    We can set up polls for this next week. Generally, when a group merge is "in the works" with a settings change, then we prefer to implement new settings at the same time when a group merge is under way. This means that even if a settings change is voted on, we hold off to implement it until a group merge happens. It is more efficient this way.

    I asked around and most of the guys are currently against a group merge. We also know, that most of the other universes are against a group merge too.

    So it would be nice, if you can set up a poll only for the setting changes.

    Guy from Andromeda here. For some reason, I am not able to create new thread there, so I will put it here.


    We (players in andromeda) received pool a bit unexpected. We saw that there is discussion going on for Leo, so in Andromeda we talked a bit.


    Since our universe in oldest and most active, the improvement is slow, we would like to see setting change. The biggest change we want is changing eco from x8 to x10, so we can develop similar to Leo universe, which might merge with us in future.


    We also spoke about peacefull fleet speed, but this is already added to pool.

    So with changes that are on pool we suggest to increase:


    Eco from x8 to x10.


    I belive it will suit to every player in universe.

    I can understand that 10x eco is a highly desired setting in any universe. While it is true that we could change the setting of any one universe to this, we don't intend to do just that at this time.

    thank you for the results of the poll.

    But in the final setting changes you have a little mistake.

    11 Player voted for 60% debris field and not 50%.


    Would be great, if you can change it :)

    What we would like to know is, 2 of the 6 players that voted x1 speed are banned (looks like permanently for multiaccounting) if we dont count them choices, the x2 warspeed would have won the poll. Is it possible, the votes of the banned accounts to get annulated? That would be fair for the rest of us

    In case of the poll for Leo settings changes, it's not a mistake. 12 votes was needed to change the setting. Current setting is 40% DF. 11 votes for 60%, so the desired direction is higher DF. 11 votes is not enough for a change, but if we add that to the votes for 50%, that's 13 votes. That's why the winning option is 50% DF.

    Settings changes were delayed due to other projects. I'll be announcing the time of the changes when we schedule them. It was also planned to run another poll before that, but it was pushed back too. I'm still keeping track of this and will inform when the changes happen.
