First off, a quick thanks to Pagan aka Cathedral for providing information that helped make this topic possible. Now, on to the topic!
The past 24 hours have been troubling for the OGame player base thanks to changes implemented by the GameForge development team which, while trying to create a better play experience for everyone in the long term, released an incomplete update to the game code that broke key features of many different tolerated tools that players have been utilizing for years. It has been a trying time that has seen numerous people enter vacation mode in protest, the add-on developers themselves being unwilling to waste time working on projects that will be invalidated the moment the in-game code is properly finished, and a general negative aura throughout the game. If this is not the largest blunder in OGame history, it is certainly among them.
This topic is not meant to disrespect the hardworking developers at GameForge who, likely through no fault of their own, were pushed to release this update against their own better judgments before it was ready. What this topic is meant to be is a celebration of the community volunteers who have been the invisible hands behind the scenes keeping OGame running in the best state possible in the many places where the base game itself is lacking.
What I would like to encourage with this topic is for those of you who have utilized these add-ons over the years to leave a kind word in the comment section below for these hard working independent developers, letting them know how much their creations have meant to you, the differences they have made to your playing experience, and how valuable they have been and continue to be to the OGame community. I would also like to encourage those of you who have been comfortable investing in the game itself to consider taking this time, where these add-on developers have been put in a particularly difficult situation, to donate to these developers whose tools have been improving your own play experience. None of these people are in it for the money, they do this for the enjoyment of contributing, but that doesn't mean they don't deserve or wouldn't appreciate the support.
I recommend, if you would like to support any of these projects or the developers behind them, to find the topic of the add-on maker in the following link, and go to their discord/website for more information. These topics are also where you can find the relevant information to utilize these tools yourself (once OGame is in a state that they can work with again):

Brief Overview of Tolerated Tools
Below I have compiled some brief information about each of the tolerated tools currently available for OGame for those who need a refresher or for those who may not have known that these quality of life improvements even existed! This is OGame's version of a modding community and you'll get a good idea of just how much of a positive difference they make!
AntiGameReborn (by Tirnoch aka RiV), OGLight (by nullNaN aka Oz), and Infinity (started by Aleks, continued by Bishop and team) all offer significant overhauls to OGame by improving layouts, giving faster accessibility to vital functions, simplifying processes, and providing extra details about your account. Each of these tools offer some similar functions and some unique functions that help to differentiate them from one another. If one of these tolerated tools isn't providing the results you had hoped for, it is very likely that one of the others will. These are, by far, the biggest and most ambitious of the add-ons that have been created for OGame but they are only a few of the many tools used by OGamers looking to maximize their playing experiences.
Other Tolerated Tools include:
Tracker (originally by wonkydonky, now by nullNaN aka Oz) which does as the name implies, tracking battle results, expedition results, collected debris fields, and even suggesting build orders based on what you already have on your account.
Paye Ton Re aka PTRE (by GeGe_GM) is an espionage report sharing tool that allows in-game allies to share information about potential targets and threats with one another regardless of alliance.
OGotcha (originally by Warsaalk, now by n00b) acts as a convertor so that you can share your in-game fleeting achievements with the rest of the world in standardized, ready to post on the board format.
The original Trashsim (by Warsaalk) and the spiritual successor Combat Simulator (by Jolteon) have been absolutely fundamental to the OGame experience by allowing attackers and defenders alike to get an idea of whether an attack will be profitable, what compositions would be most profitable, and how to toss up a bunch of extra defense to make those profits crumble into the negative. These efforts were the initial victims of past GameForge staff/OGame volunteer communication issues when GameForge introduced their own version of combat simulation intended to make these simulators obsolete, don't let this happen again!
ProxyForGame (Ogeeon) is a website that helps you plan ahead by calculating how many resources you need to spend for a particular number of ships, your next planet upgrade, your distant research goals, and beyond.
MMORPG (by the MMORPG team) is a website that keeps track of all things OGame, from rankings, to changes in accounts over the years, to planet locations for every player in the game. It is the site that many of us dreamed about when OGame began!
Some additional tools that have provided improvements to the OGaming experience include InfoCompte (by The Stubbs) that helps you visualize your empire in graph form, OGMem (by DeLord) which is a website that allows you to save your combat reports forever (or as long as the site stays up), and SpyTableGrouper for AntiGameReborn (by MisatoTremor) that sorts espionage reports by galaxy coordinates. Then there is Galaxy Flight Duration (by LukaNebo), Lifeform bonus panel button (by Hari_Seldon) and Green Text for Full Pop/Food Resources (by AstralCodex) that each do exactly as they say by letting you calculate flight times, add an extra button for faster access to Lifeform bonuses, and change that bothersome red text underneath the Lifeforms Food/Pop to a much nicer shade of green. There was also OGameLive (by loclamor) that is no longer active but at one time was similar to AGR, OGLight, and Infinity in the breadth of improvements made to the OGame layout.
This isn't even including the many other Tools/Add-ons that were created for free by community members over the twenty plus years of OGame's existence who simply wanted to provide something useful to the community to make a better experience for everyone. There are those who work hard building mines, fleets, and research in game, then there are those who make that building experience significantly more enjoyable; and these are the people who have done exactly that!
Thank you to RiV, nullNan, the Infinity team, wonkydonky, Warsaalk, GeGe_GM, n00b, Ogeeon, the MMORPG team, The Stubbs, DeLord, MisatoTremor, LukaNebo, Hari_Seldon, AstralCodex, loclamor, and anyone else who has worked on making the OGame experience better for others one night of miserable coding at a time. Not all heroes wear capes (though maybe some of you do) and words alone cannot truly balance out how much you have all provided to the fun of so many in OGame; but know that we appreciate your efforts and that the community is already doing all that it can to make sure your creations are treated with the respect they deserve.
