Spot on.
I've felt very little motivation to play because the future of add-on support has been looking bleak, and without add-ons the game is unplayable. I hope that GF management will finally listen this time.

Once a month, instead of eating two more proverbial pizzas, I buy dark matter in smaller and larger quantities depending on my needs.
Big companies like Gameforeg speak the language of money, and it is only in this language that we as a community can get through to them ( as the example of the community's fight for D&D with Hasbro showed well)
Appeals to everyone to stop buying Dark mater until GF fixes the problem.
I may only be a small myself but together we can become visible in the monthly sales report tables.
Thank you to RiV, Wonky and other devs for grate work, we love u all
Everything that could be said has been said.
That this is probably the most well received thread on the forum speaks volumes.
It's a testament to how poor....POOR whoever is calling the shots for OGame is. Game Forge should really start at this point "catering" to the 3rd party devs and tool creators that help influence and improve the player experience.
seems they might want to apply stuff like this by themselves so they totaly shut down developers or tools... even tho they do ti on cahrity/freelance basis.. but yea i agree its easy to change stuf in 21st century.. but nowdays companys care bout profit, not what community wants.. its greedy age of capitalism sadly , low democracy..
OGame without third party tools, is a horrible experience in my opinion. Anything to help smoothen the communication between GF and third party creators is a step in the right direction.
Let's hope they're not planning to add these popular third party tool features themselves behind a dark matter cost, wouldn't be surprised. Without a cost it would be fine if done well.
If there is no positive response AGAIN, third party developers need to go on a boycott.
Since GF won't listen to the pleas of the playerbase and developers, lets see what happens when the volunteer developers go on strike. Half the playerbase would just leave, which I imagine includes a good chunk of paying players. GF would be left with 2 options - fix the problems, or shut down the game.

you vote with every buck you spend
Seeing how many huge accounts spread and grow in every new server and on every old server in all of the communities the communication towards gameforge is clear:
we are satisfied enough to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars on this product
boycotts of developers wont help if players keep on rewarding a publisher for what they themselves call out, yet don’t punish at all.

If they find players to play with when the plugins are disabled, they can sell DM.
I`ll absolutely hate it but if the only way for GF to start fixing things is by killing the addons as a sign of protest, so be it. Half of the game will go blue and their wallets will feel it. Then they will listen. Its actually a joke how bad GF is running their business in 2024, one would think managment classes would teach people better.
Money talks, without as much money they will talk.
I`m a frequent buyer, from now on I won`t be, I hope others will follow, there are more important things to this game then numbers and ranks.
Ingame we could be friends/enemies but in the end we`re all one big community that should stand together and fight the lazy evil.
I'm here to throw my full support behind all the amazing third-party developers who bust their butts to make this game better for all of us. A special shoutout to RiV, the mastermind behind AntiGameReborn, a tool that has become essential for so many of us OGame addicts.
RiV recently laid it all out in his post, and it's clear: these devs are getting the short end of the stick from Gameforge. These guys are constantly dealing with a lack of support and proper communication, and it's just not right.
Let's break it down: RiV and others have been pushing hard for better accessibility and functionality in the APIs. They've been advocating for changes that would make it easier to develop and maintain these crucial tools. Specifically, RiV has been pushing for an inline API through data attributes to simplify data parsing from messages. This would save developers from the nightmare of having to localize every possible phrasing in multiple languages.
But guess what? Despite their relentless efforts, Gameforge has dropped the ball. The inline API implementation is only half-baked, and they even pushed an unfinished version to live servers. This is a huge headache for developers. And don't even get me started on the lack of detailed changelogs, which leaves these devs scrambling to adapt their tools under tight deadlines and with no clear guidance.
Here's the kicker: these third-party addons benefit all of us, especially the players who can't afford to buy dark matter. With OGame leaning more and more towards pay-to-win, these addons help level the playing field, making the game fairer for everyone. Without them, the gap between paying players and non-paying players would be even bigger, and that's just not fair.
It's obvious that third-party tool accessibility hasn't been a priority for Gameforge. The long delay in addressing critical issues, like the missing lifeforms data in spy and combat reports, shows a complete disregard for what these developers need. This has to change.
So, Gameforge, listen up. It's time to:
The dedication and hard work of third-party developers like RiV improve the OGame experience for countless players. Their contributions deserve recognition, respect, and proper support from Gameforge. It's high time Gameforge acknowledges this and takes meaningful steps to support these invaluable community members.
Thanks, RiV, for your unwavering commitment and for being a beacon of hope and support within the OGame community. Your work does not go unnoticed, and we've got your back.
Thanks for all the people who makes this game playablein 2024.
Still no news from weteha of gf ?

Ofc not, hes too busy sending thank you messages to certain names on Turkish servers where they spend a house worth money.
I wholeheartedly support Riv in this matter. FFS GF now you have broken system espionage with AGR, does anyone there knows what is doing..... Vanilla Ogame is shit. Soo much missing ...
Quit developing and updating AGR. See how many people quit playing because of it. My bet is GF will move quickly at that point.
