Universe tasks and rewards changes

  • I just want to start off by saying I feel like we've had a topic like this but the search system is failing me... or maybe I dreamt it?

    Anyways - Id love to talk about the ingame rewards and how they work and what the rewards are.

    Generally speaking Im okay as it currently stands, but I think theres room for improvement, and maybe Im not the only one with creative thoughts on this matter - so thats why I make this thread.
    Ideally I want this to be more of a discussion towards the goal of improving the reward event, before putting forward an official suggestion.


    My first thought was implementing cooler rewards and making the tasks a bit more tailored to your class maybe? or you get like an option of 3 to choose from.
    Like fx. if you like raiding then you can pick the "Raider rewards" fx. and the tasks are something along the lines of "probe x players" or "successfully attack x amount of players" (inactives are ok) and "succesfully attack an honorable target" (could just be once).
    I feel like the tasks and rewards have such potential that its a shame that its just simple stuff.
    The rewards would also be tailored towards raiders more (could be get deut ressource package or +1/2/3 on fleet slots or maybe even a new buff that buffs your combat techs with +1 for a week(just brainstorming)).
    Regardless - my point being you could tailor the rewards to the type of tasks you choose

    Ive also seen others prefer it to just be login rewards - well then give them the simple task event. So like theres a "Raider" tasks and rewards - give them a "Simple" tasks and rewards (log in/check highscore/check another galaxy) - simple stuff (I hope someone can come up with a better name for it than "Simple")

    You can also have one that specifically targets people doing expiditions - maybe something with getting certain things in expiditions? doing certain amount of expiditions? Try different expo compositions (maybe suggest that people do "optimal" expo composition - like "Do 3 expiditions that includes a pathfinder, a probe, a battleship and small cargo"

    And then last but not least - the purpose for this brainstorm - I'd love to have a "relocate planet" reward as one of the final rewards (can be without full commander so all get a chance?) - but just as we have class change - planet relocate could be a major motivator to do these as I think most would love to have the option to relocate a planet without spending considerable amount of money (and most never actually relocate a planet ever, even if its in a bad spot).

    So yea - if youve read all this - sorry for the long, kinda incoherent post - but I hope we can make a discussion/further brainstorm out of this and eventually turn this in to a proper suggestion (or multiple?).

  • Just read this somehow i missed this post :P hehe Well defintly HIGH FIVE for FREE Relo in rewards, also highly up that rewards are adjusted depending on players class. ALSO lately what i saw they "introduced" TASK REWARDS when new uni opens instead of regular LOGIN ... Hence iguess that people spend more $$ on DM so they can actually complete it, since if u look at some "spy X planets " build Ions or stuff like that limits A NEW FRESH UNI ACC THAT HAS NO DM to catch up.. so players actually especially without Officers lose first 3 days minimum almoust of rewards... so IN GENERAL REWARDS SHOULD BE LOGIN BASED FOR NEW UNI openings!!!!!!!! return those back. Even tho i know its game marketing, not sustainable etc etc unless these visa swipers invest, but make it normal and playable for regular people who dont swipe their credit cards for game.. also suggestion with class based rewards HUGE YES.. why would i be forced of taking stuff i dont or wont ever use?... they'r decent, also bring once a month that 3 days login rewards that we had few weeks ago.. those rewards were better then X amount of task rewards we had tbh... but doubt gf will listen, i didnt see much changes from any suggestion for past months even a year...

  • Cool idea. I would be up for that suggestion for sure. Maybe even some kind of "dailies" would be great.


    For example;

    Your suggestion should be perfect for "rewards" event and is class-wise!

    Dailies would not consider the class but rewards could be the lowest things you can imagine.


    Rules of dailies;

    1. In order to receive 1x RANDOM DROP you must complete 3x tasks (examples below).

    2. Items would last 24h only

    3. Items should be redeemed within 72h or else they would be lost


    Tasks should also be seperated in tiers and dailies should consist of 3x different TIER tasks.

    Example of defining tiers;


    Tier A

    - attack 15 players (inactives included)

    - collect 3x DF

    - send 15 expeditions

    - collect 3x expedition DF

    - send 5x lifeform discoveries


    Tier B

    - attack 5 inactives

    - collect 1x DF

    - send 15 expeditions

    - collect 1x expedition DF

    - Probe 30 players

    - use phalanx 5 times on different player

    - transport resources from P > P / M > M


    Tier C

    - transport resources from P > M / M > P

    - build x number of something

    - bid at the auctioneer

    - send ingame message

    - create a DF with probe!?

    - purchase something in shop (gotta give em something eh? :dead:)


    Tier F

    - login :fatgreengrin:

    - visit commanders


    Tier SSS+

    - buy 100 € DM :ninja::ninja::ninja:


    It could be anything really, these are just some examples from the top of the head and everything could be balanced accordingly. The code should generate tasks with always having A + B + C tier and sometimes potentionally put "S" tier which would increase the number of "missions" you do for a better reward.



    Some examples of potentional rewards (remember it lasts only 24h)

    - +1/2/3 fleet slot

    - +1/2/3 expo slots

    - 1x random commander

    - +10/20/40% resources production boosters

    - M/C/D packs that give you 5-10% daily production

    - Dark Matter in 20-30% bigger amounts then you get from expo maybe

    EDIT;

    - maybe item with scrap merchant giving you 75% rate? This would be extremly cool for discoverer class i think ;). This idea already exists but i cant write where probably :beware:


    What i would personally like is to have a reward;

    + 1 planet field - permanent (very low chance for drop)


    I think dailies would be cool because it new players would have things to do and for regular players it won't make much difference whetever they do them or not so it could work okay for everyone. What are your thoughts?

  • Personally, I agree with all suggestions to improve Tasks events.

    Just a quick summary of ideas mentioned to give it some structure:


    Tailored Tasks and Rewards:

    Raider Rewards:

    • Tasks: Probe X players, attack X players (including inactives), attack an honorable target.
    • Rewards: Deuterium package, +1/2/3 fleet slots, combat techs +1 for a week.

    Simple Tasks and Rewards:

    • Tasks: Log in, check highscore, check another galaxy.
    • Rewards: Small resource packs, minor speed buffs.

    Expedition Rewards:

    • Tasks: Conduct X expeditions, obtain specific items, try different compositions.
    • Rewards: Expedition resource packages, temporary success rate boost, extra expedition slots.

    Additional Ideas:

    Planet Relocation Reward:

    • Include as a final reward, accessible without a full commander package.

    Customizable Task Paths:

    • Players choose tasks based on their playstyle (Raider, Explorer, Builder).

    Dynamic Task Difficulty:

    • Offer scalable task difficulties with better rewards for harder tasks.

    Community Challenges:

    • Introduce challenges for all players with rewards based on individual and community success.

    Daily Tasks and Rewards:

    Rules:

    • Complete 3 tasks to receive 1x RANDOM DROP.
    • Items last 24 hours.
    • Items must be redeemed within 72 hours or they are lost.

    Task Tiers:

    Tier A:

    • High difficulty (e.g., attack 15 players, collect 3 debris fields).

    Tier B:

    • Medium difficulty (e.g., attack 5 inactives, probe 30 players).

    Tier C:

    • Low difficulty (e.g., transport resources, build items).

    Tier F:

    • Very low difficulty (e.g., log in, visit commanders).

    Tier SSS+:

    • Premium (e.g., buy €100 of Dark Matter).

    Rewards (24h duration):

    • Fleet slots, expedition slots, random commander, resource boosters, M/C/D packs, extra Dark Matter, scrap merchant boost, rare +1 permanent planet field.

    Summary:

    1. Tailored reward paths (Raider, Simple, Expedition) with specific tasks and rewards.
    2. Daily tasks with tiered difficulties and varied rewards, redeemable within 24-72 hours.
    3. Community-wide challenges to enhance collective player engagement.
