I just want to start off by saying I feel like we've had a topic like this but the search system is failing me... or maybe I dreamt it?
Anyways - Id love to talk about the ingame rewards and how they work and what the rewards are.
Generally speaking Im okay as it currently stands, but I think theres room for improvement, and maybe Im not the only one with creative thoughts on this matter - so thats why I make this thread.
Ideally I want this to be more of a discussion towards the goal of improving the reward event, before putting forward an official suggestion.
My first thought was implementing cooler rewards and making the tasks a bit more tailored to your class maybe? or you get like an option of 3 to choose from.
Like fx. if you like raiding then you can pick the "Raider rewards" fx. and the tasks are something along the lines of "probe x players" or "successfully attack x amount of players" (inactives are ok) and "succesfully attack an honorable target" (could just be once).
I feel like the tasks and rewards have such potential that its a shame that its just simple stuff.
The rewards would also be tailored towards raiders more (could be get deut ressource package or +1/2/3 on fleet slots or maybe even a new buff that buffs your combat techs with +1 for a week(just brainstorming)).
Regardless - my point being you could tailor the rewards to the type of tasks you choose
Ive also seen others prefer it to just be login rewards - well then give them the simple task event. So like theres a "Raider" tasks and rewards - give them a "Simple" tasks and rewards (log in/check highscore/check another galaxy) - simple stuff (I hope someone can come up with a better name for it than "Simple")
You can also have one that specifically targets people doing expiditions - maybe something with getting certain things in expiditions? doing certain amount of expiditions? Try different expo compositions (maybe suggest that people do "optimal" expo composition - like "Do 3 expiditions that includes a pathfinder, a probe, a battleship and small cargo"
And then last but not least - the purpose for this brainstorm - I'd love to have a "relocate planet" reward as one of the final rewards (can be without full commander so all get a chance?) - but just as we have class change - planet relocate could be a major motivator to do these as I think most would love to have the option to relocate a planet without spending considerable amount of money (and most never actually relocate a planet ever, even if its in a bad spot).
So yea - if youve read all this - sorry for the long, kinda incoherent post - but I hope we can make a discussion/further brainstorm out of this and eventually turn this in to a proper suggestion (or multiple?).
