Update 12.0 Avatar & Achievements

  • Hello commanders!

    Unfortunately we need to have a small follow up maintenance today around 15:00 CEST and the new version will be 12.0.55.
    With it we aim to tackle some issues have been reported with Achievements sync during Global Merges.

    Thursday, July 24, we will update the live servers with the newest game version:

    - at 10:00 CEST OGame.org (all universes) and OGame.de (Uni1, Undae, Delphinus and Lyra)

    - at 13:00 CEST OGame.de (remaining universes), all the other communities and Graveyard servers


    This update doesn’t include any visible changes - just some behind-the-scenes improvements, tweaks to keep things running smoothly, and a little something that will be revealed later.

    There’s no changelog for this one, since it’s all background work.


    Note: around 10:45 CEST we will run a fix for the accounts that are having issues with Achievements sync on the targets of finished Global Merges. Please reach out your team if after the maintenance is done you still notice any Achievement sync related issues.

    Additional info for the rounds affected with the Achievements fix issue only:
    - as those rounds need a longer maintenance they are not reachable while the fix is applied and will be under maintenance (no login possible) between 10:00 CEST and the end of the maintenance.

    Changelog:
    - Fixed a bug that caused the Overview shop-panel to not load correctly upon the second opening
    - Alliance debuffs are not transferred to the new gameround during a player/server migration anymore
    - Several fixes and improvements in the back end that might lead to front end issues which can be fixed with a hard reload (For Chrome Ctrl+Shift+R (clearing the browser cache). For Firefox, Internet Explorer and Opera GX use Ctrl+F5. For Opera Ctrl+Shift+Del.).

    Important: The Wreckfield adjustments that have been in a testing phase since these universes opened will be applied to all universes across all communities, and will take effect as soon as the game round is updated to the new version. This means that the only condition taken into consideration will be the 150,000 minimum resources - the 5% condition will be removed from every universe. The Space Dock information text has already been updated.

    - Adjusted achievements for the Season of Discovery (#5 "Really Not a Space Pirate", #6 "Towards the Event Horizon" and #15 "Continental Expansions")
    - Fixed an issue with Season of Discovery achievement #13-1 "Rally Lady Luck" not tracking properly
    - Fixed unfinished IPI tasks having checkmarks
    - Fixed wrong queue icon for Kaelesh building #4 "Halls of Realisation" when in first slot

    - Fixed several elements which had the Icons of two of the Kaelesh buildings mixed up.
    - Fixed all additional discovery missions being given out before the Artifact Shop event instead of during it.
    - Removed a line break from a text of the Artifact Shop event.

    - Fixed the icons for the new items looking cut off in Empire View.

    - Added indicators for timed items on the pages of the Artifact Shop and Recurring Reward events.

    - Fixed the shop's pagination being unable to handle more than 10 pages.

    - Fixed the Expedition Delay item removing the entire delay of expeditions.

  • Hello commanders!

    Over the past months, many of you have shared your frustrations about how long large-scale combats take to calculate - and in some extreme cases, that battles could even fail to process at all. We’ve heard you, and on Thursday, December 4, we'll begin rolling out the first improvements to the combat system.

    With this update, the game will be able to handle larger combats and deliver results faster, thanks to a new internal scaling system that optimizes the calculation process. These technical changes may cause very small differences compared to existing combat simulations (around 1% variation), but we strongly believe the increased stability and speed will be well worth it.

    Please note that this is only the first step. We are actively working on additional enhancements to ensure the combat system can reliably manage anything you throw at it - now and in the future. These improvements will continue to roll out gradually as development progresses.

    Once the changes go live, we would love to hear your feedback. Your insights, along with the data we gather, will help us further fine-tune the system.

    Please bear in mind that from the start of the maintenance until its completion (including both phases), some instability may occur. Therefore, we recommend not planning any attacks during either maintenance phase. Once everything is finished, we will inform you as usual on Discord.

    Together with this update, we will also roll out version 12.5.0 of the game:
