  • Congratulations on orchestrating the biggest ACS attack in the universe – truly a monumental achievement! This experience has been quite enlightening for me. It’s fascinating to witness how the OGame community operates, particularly the stark divide between those of us playing for fun and the whales who invest thousands of euros to dominate.

I must commend the relentless scanning and timing – it’s a masterclass in dedication, albeit one that reveals just how skewed the game is towards those with financial resources and unlimited time. It’s also a shame the so-called 'honor system' doesn’t really live up to its name, since there seem to be zero consequences for preying on lower-ranked players.

But hey, at least I’ve learned an important lesson about OGame: the 'community spirit' here is less about fair play and more about crushing the little guys. Kudos again on your accomplishment – I’m sure it will inspire others to... spend more money.

  • There is absolutely something deeply wrong and rotten within the whole DM system, but some of the stuff that you take issue with are shared with many other games, and indeed most life endeavors. Dedication, time, and passion will (in general) get you ahead of people who lack it, for whatever reason. Of course i.e. Khaos should get all the res in the universe, the guy didn't sleep for a while (a concerning development, but one that he should be rewarded for).

There is some lower rank protection in the game, but perhaps you think it is not enough. However, most of the lower rank hits I have seen are completely and easily preventable, because people either turtle, don't fleetsave, don't scrap, don't get a moon, etc. Most new players lack education about this, but this is not really a community problem: it is a gameforge problem evident by the opaque and scant educational information available in-game.

Regarding the bullying aspect: this is present in every game from WoW to ogame to real life: the strong bully the weak when they stand to profit (and sometimes even if they don't), and this is by no means an ogame specific phenomena. It is unfortunate, and I sometimes do partake on both sides of the equation, but it is what it is,

  • Ah, the classic 'it’s just how life works' argument. Truly an inspired way to justify a broken system. Yes, dedication, time, and passion should get you ahead—except, of course, when someone can swipe their credit card and leapfrog all of your effort overnight. I’m sure that’s a perfectly reasonable and rewarding experience for everyone involved.

As for lower rank protection, I appreciate the insight. Clearly, the solution is that everyone should just learn to fleetsave perfectly, magically acquire moons, and spend hours poring over spreadsheets—because that’s exactly what new players signed up for when they thought, 'Hey, this space game looks fun!' If they don’t, it’s obviously their fault for not reading the nonexistent tutorial Gameforge kindly didn’t provide.

Regarding bullying: 'It happens everywhere' isn’t quite the compelling defense you think it is. Sure, predatory behavior exists in games, just like in life, but that doesn’t mean we should shrug and accept it. If anything, it makes me wonder why we’re all collectively okay with a system that rewards it. Maybe instead of normalizing the strong preying on the weak, we should demand better mechanics—or at least acknowledge that some players might find it, I don’t know, frustrating?

But hey, you're right about one thing: Khaos absolutely deserves every resource for not sleeping. That’s the real dream here—rewarding self-destructive behavior in a browser game. Truly the pinnacle of gaming excellence. Hats off to them!
