So now that we have life forms it takes lives to run ships

so My suggestion is to tie life forms to fleet and fleet loses

1 life form per light fighter

3 life forms per heavy fighter.

    75 life forms per cruiser.

250 life forms per battle ship

    325 life forms per bomber

    375 life forms per destroyer

275 life forms per battle cruiser.

    50 life forms per recycler

12 life forms per small cargo

20 life forms per large cargo

1,500 life forms per death star.

when you lose ships in battle you also lose the pilots and crew that mans them.

  • - How would this interact with different planets having different amounts of lifeforms?
    - Would this in fact result in maximum fleet being limited by Maximum amount of lifeforms on planet?

Food stuffs would be treated as universal so crews can be gathered from all planets as ships are built deployed and stationed. at various moons and planets.

The extra food consumption would be taken into account on each planets food production needs.

But not limit fleet sizes . Since it would also make it feasible to raid food in raids and give more value to trading food stuffs.

Which can help cultivate new areas for the games miners also.

A deployed troop counter can be used to show the off set for food consumption on each planet and living space off sets for the space the deployed troops use and consume.

  • I think it involves too much math to be implamented, just by looking how they made LF techs you can clearly see how lazy they were and literally just put all buffs on +0,3% or each resource tech on +0,06%...im 10000000% sure no math was done for any kind of balance for that patch .

Once the ships leave does population reduce and start producing new population? What happens when population returns from flight? No one likes to pay attention to their food thats why everyone builds LFs so food is always on 0 and looting food is off. Overall the patch is no brainer they made so they have poor excuse for saying that "we are making changes and developing the game".

I don't consider this to be a bad idea im just not sure i would want to pay attention to food to be honest. Also anything that would make fleeting "harder" is a no-no for me.

The population won't increase or decrease with crews manning the ships.

The only time it would effect your food to population would be when a large fleet is deployed to that moon or planet .

And with over stock on food some can be sent with the fleet. To offset that effect.

But when a ship is destroyed then it will trigger the repopulation phase to replace the lost lives.

And again this does not effect the total number of ships you can have in any way.

Or effect the size of your fleet .

And again food would then be treated as universal so no worries about food

most have an extra amount of food to feed the ship crews any way. At most you might have to build an extra food crop building level or two.

So not a bad thing either since those are point's that don't go away when hit

  • As an example of how this effects the number of life forms you have as it stands now one of Lacertas larger fleets with 37 mn battlecruisers takes 989,900.000 lifeforms to crew their whole bc fleet

That is one tenth of my far smaller population base

  • I think people won't vote for this becuase it doesn't bring anything to the game. People don't usually vote yes if there are no benefits :D.

  • Actually it does since the game mentioned life forms in the beginning then never had any untill recently .

And what benefit is there to it? Absolutetly none beside the "lore" or "story" which i think 95% of people don't really care about xD.

New aspect for the game that should have been included with the advent of life forms and their implementation.

While giving more value to food stuffs

  • I might not understand english very good but i am 100% sure i am correct when i say that is not what benefit means :D. You are arguing "what should have been implamented with lifeforms patch" but you are not neither right nor wrong for saying that. Maybe it should have been but maybe it shouldn't because ogame worked without them for 20+years... This would not improve the game itself but rather the lore of ogame which is basically non existant anyway and no one plays the game for it.

Is this number 989,900 or 989,900,000? Becuase if this is the 2nd one then i think top10 fleeters in uni1 would not be able to fly unless they build lifeform buildings exponentially which is automatically a NO vote for them. If it's the first number then "right now" they can fly with their entire fleet but as they grow they will have to invest in a building to get more population and that building also doesn't provide any benefits after maxing it out for T3 slot 6 tech which means it is inconvenience.

As i said, LF patch is a good idea but turned out to be utter garbage made without a shred of thought and just mashed together in probably less then a day.

Idk...maybe in the future it could work with many different changes that would have to be made for people to vote for this.

  • one of the top 5 fleets and it is the larger of the two numbers the bn's in life forms and yes the top 3 of U 1 would be able to fly their fleets . they are industrious after all.

Plus ships are not manned unless sent on a mission.
