Me and PH, being the mindless brutes that we are, wasted so much deut impulsively flying on this guy (around 120m for sure), that yesterday we decided enough was enough.
Unfortunately for him, it was pretty obvious that he dirty fleet saved, but in any case, he only had three moons and all nearby, so we were ready to pop all three if need be. We were both interested in him for a while, so we decided to share the hit.
The preparations for this have been rather intense as it was my first MD ever (18 years ago things didn't happen so fast lol), but took a turn for the worse when a (very :P) high PH passed out during the MD mission, leaving me hanging for quite many an hour. Panic ensued, while I tried to handle both the MD missions, target activity, neighbor activity, PH fake activity, sending him an ACS-D just in case, and calculating all the various scenarios that might ensue, like me having to take this hit alone. Probably one of the most terrible nights I've had in a while, but we popped his moon, got the lanx (it was dirty after all), PH showed up just in time for the hit, and in the end we got the sweet, sweet loot.
Besides this one, there were three other 500m fights as we picked off the expos that landed before the main hit. Messed up a couple of things, like thinking an incoming attack can prevent a v-mode out, but all in all it has been quite an educational experience. Big props to PH for his moon pew pew-ing skills, and good luck to the defender if you decide to rebuild!
