The arrogant fleet of the self-styled “M4D” alliance, brimming with their oversized battleships and swarms of flimsy fighters, had dared to cross the path of the Fenrisian 1st Fleet. A fatal error.
Frost’s plan had been simple, brutal, and effective. He'd feigned a retreat, drawing the M4D fleet into a narrow corridor within the asteroid field. Then, the Fimbulwinter and its accompanying cruisers and battlecruisers had turned, unleashing the fury of their plasma cannons. The M4D ships, a chaotic mix of cargo haulers, support vessels, and a handful of capital ships, were caught in the crossfire. Their boasted Deathstar, a lumbering behemoth of a warship, proved no match for the Fenrisian firepower. It became a tomb for its crew, a silent testament to the folly of underestimating the sons of Fenris.
The battle report flickering on the display confirmed the utter annihilation of the M4D fleet. Their losses were staggering, their resources scattered amongst the debris field like scraps for scavengers. The Fenrisian losses, by contrast, were minimal. A few dents in the Fimbulwinter’s prow, some scorched paint on the cruisers. Nothing that couldn’t be repaired with a few hours in the shipyards.
“Another victory for the Allfather,” Frost rumbled, his voice echoing through the bridge. He glanced at the captured resources, a mountain of metal, crystal, and deuterium. “Enough to resupply the fleet ten times over. And enough to remind the rest of the g4 Reach that the sons of Fenris are not to be trifled with.”
A young officer approached, his face beaming with pride. “Admiral, the salvage teams are reporting - we got the debris field. Mainly all of them.”
Frost nodded. “Good. And a warning to any who would dare challenge the might of Fenris.” He turned back to the holodisplay, his gaze sweeping across the wreckage-strewn void. The G4 Reach was quiet now, subdued. The wolves of Fenris had made their presence known, and the galaxy held its breath.
