I'm here with the usual Eris update.
Let’s start with the big picture: the Polish era is officially over, and the Imperial + Worker era has begun.
For those of you who visit here from time to time but no longer check the Highscore:
Worker, Crimson, and Og (DarkGhost) got packing some more, while the last two remaining Poles, Blue and Vice, have turned into daily creatures of habit, fearful of the night.
They pop in for a visit now and then but retreat to VM before darkness falls.
I even called Bandutten back to recycle his fleet and embrace his dream of becoming a peaceful miner.
Meanwhile, complacency has set in. Some players, myself included, can go weeks without getting scanned. Others get crashed simply because they can’t be bothered to FS.
Yes, Deus, I’m talking about you. You might say you got absolutely gazeboed, but let's be real, you get that every other night, and this has never happened before!
As for Cosa, he’s still lurking in the universe, taking down anything that can’t fight back. He’s basically the new Blue at this point. Fitting, since he even claims to be Blue’s brother. So, naturally, he’s stepped into his brother's role of bully-in-chief.
Now, let’s get to today’s action.
Last time, I asked for bets on how long Blue’s 50k plasmas on his moons would last. Turns out, they held for over a month. Though, nobody expected him to spend so much of that time hiding in VM.
But last night, he finally found some courage. By the time I woke up, Worker was already on it, launching the BombeRIP moon destroy combo at four of Blue’s moons.
This strategy was devised by Hash, our resident genius. His method is simple but effective:
- Send RIPs for a 100% MD chance.
- Add the lowest possible number of bombers, just enough to take out the defense.
- Almost all the bombers end up in debris, meaning you only lose 10–20% of them.
- If the RIPs reach the moon and explode, the rest of the fleet won’t follow them into the void.
It looks something like this (I added some LF to decrease the losses):
On 20-03-2025 --:--:--, the following fleets met in battle:
Attacker Captain Hammer [NO MONEY]

Light Fighter 50.000

The attacker lost a total of 2.666.406.000 units.
The defender lost a total of 6.557.120.000 units.

The attacker captured a total of 16.312.880 units.
The chance for a moon to be created from the debris was 20%.
The attacker(s) captured the debris.

Blue abandoned his moons once again. With Vice entering VM yesterday evening, he wasn’t around to help.
So far, so good.
Then I went for his main moon (2:7).
But 30 seconds before impact, his full fleet appeared!
How the hell did that happen?
His homeworld had been inactive since the reset, his mobile was nowhere in sight, and none of his moons had any fleet.
On top of that, there’s no way he’d jump for a ninja 30 seconds in advance, not when that would give me plenty of time to scan and recall. Even Vice can manage a 10-second ninja, and just about anyone is better at ninjas than Vice.
I asked Blue what happened. No response. Not even his usual "You will lose all moons, just for fun."
My only explanation? Pure luck, his fleet must have returned from FS at just the right moment, accidentally saving his moon.
The Damage Report:
Blue lost nearly 30Bn in plasmas and gates.
I lost 2.5Bn (the RIPs died, may they RIP).
Worker lost around 5Bn (1 of 3 fleets down).
In total, Blue took four times the losses. And we can do this every night he finds the courage to stay.
So, we expect him to tuck tail and vanish with the sunset, right before the nocturnal animals emerge. Together with the Americans. Then the Asians. In other words, everyone except the Europeans who sleep like a Crimson.
This is why having an international alliance is such a huge advantage, none of that Poland-only nonsense.
If you think I’m trying to provoke Blue into staying and fighting, you’re absolutely right, my friends.
It’s gotten so dull without him around most of the time.
Blue, if you’re reading this, stop hiding and come out to play! We actually miss you.
My moons haven’t been properly cropped in ages. Even lanxes have started sprouting like weeds on a rainy day.
But never mind me, think of poor Og! The guy is heartbroken ever since you blocked him. He can’t even send you his usual rubbish anymore.
Don’t you know that’s how he expresses his feelings?
Okay, fine, I admit, he does that to everyone when he’s high. And since he and Crimson are high most of the time, that’s saying something.
But seriously, Og has been inconsolable. He even renamed two of his moons:
I LOVE YOU
PLEASE COME BACK
He’s planning to flood you with attacks from those moons until you at least talk to him again.
Take-home message: Blue, come out, and let’s see whose packs are bigger!
