What happened was nothing more than a LAG.
This happened many times before and will continue to happen many more times, its just how this game is, acording to people in charge!
It's the typical server lag with large fleet on the attacker. It happened two times on our end on solo, both times tickets were made (both tickets are closed and we moved on), both time the end result were the defender keeps the fleet, no CR means no DF. Attacker fleet get unstuck by GO and sent home with nothing. If the results changed now all the sudden.... it would be mighty suspicious.
This battle is 10x larger, Acs by multiple players, 15+ players lanxing every second and god knows how many playes are trying to steal the DF in the span of 3 seconds window. So.... it's kinda expected.
IF the battle was forced to put into play, expect tons of tickets reactivated to enforce all their missed crs 😀. Can't do one without doing the others.
At least make an announcement of how to proceed from this point forward before doing certain players favors.

Is it a general rule now?
I remember having this issue years back and they passed the CR. I think it's more on a case-by-case basis.
Too bad we won't get to witness the discobal extravaganza
So ? everyone will speak about a potential attack without more explication about the situation ?
You had to be there and see it with your own eyes to believe it

Here is the thing, no CR was created. We expected consistency especially since last 2 similar events (when we were the attacker) it went :
"sorry, there was nothing we can do."
This time we were on the other side, so we are expecting the results to be the same since there was no public message announcement of what to do to address this when something like this happens again.
If they change ruling now before any sort of an announcement, it would seriously look bad on their part.

Picture this: +1.6 billion ships were involved.
We expected consistency
Fair enough! I think this is key, if there's no CR then no hit.
Kind of annoying that we can't witness such a beautiful hit. The biggest of all time.

Yeah sure so nothing else important
By the looks of it; what happened is a prove that someone's time and money invested in this game is more relevant than someone elses.
And its time for some legal action against the game.
