Merge 2025 - ORG community

    There have been several merges before all with its own issues. I agree that you can't make everyone happy which is just impossible but you can take the time to do better next time. I see any of the reactions of the mods or other GF related employee on this matter as wielding the carrot infront of the donkey (us, the players) maybe at the next turn on the road we get a bite. That is how these comments feel to the userbase.


    The suggestion to keep idea's coming in for christmas timeframe feels like busy work and any and all get trown into the trashbin since GF and the decision makers dont care to serve their community at all. Its all about money min-maxing for the company.

    My previous post was in general. Now I would like to say something about my case


    I've been playing this game for over 5 years and I've gone through many universes like: Dione, Quantum, Earth, Gaspra, Thuban Lacerta, Wurren and some others that I can't remember right now. Also, I went through several mergers and each one was disastrous forcing me to close those accounts.


    I spent a lot of money and, more importantly, time building accounts, some for over a year, only to have GF take them down in the blink of an eye.


    Now in Wurren I have a NbE alliance with many good and very active people. We invested a lot of effort building that alliance for a year to ensure its security and economic prosperity, only for YOU to destroy it just because you want to and you can do it.


    Now I'm actually wondering what the point of all that effort and wasted time is. And it wouldn't be unexpected or without reason for me to stop wasting time with OG and GF for good.

    Allright, I was not going to comment after reading yohdh's message where we were probably mocked to be told to express our opinion and state that nothing, exactly nothing, not even the spec's of some target universe's to at least create a fair and balanced envoironment for future merger (like enabling deuterium into DF, increasing DF etc.) will be changed BUT! after seeing our lovely moderator Neotinea 's post I can't hold myself so here is a question for her;


    Dear Neotinea, if you can spare a couple minutes of your precious time and enlighten me -the simple mind- on this easy question I would be very happy.


    - This merger was announced months ago and you all knew it was coming. Instead of creating the thread after GF and you decide on where to toss players and create a bigger mess, if you and other admin's and whoever is in charge (+ our CoMa) do value the player base as much as you claim, couldn't you have created this thread a few months ago?! There you could read what community say, ask why they want/prefer that and then maybe run some polls of potential merger plan's and forward the result to GF before shitstorm started? Maybe it would be better to express our opinion instead of deciding on this FIRST and then saying whatever you post afterwards we are all ears and will try to remember and remind GF for future merger which is about 1.5-2 years from now. Because 1.5-2 years later there will be 10'ish new universe's, different spec's and probably even the third x10 economy server that you claim for now capped with only two (that you and your staff mate's used to claim was capped with one a couple years ago).

    Lets try and save Wurren from exodus



    There is currently a large push for Wurren to be made a target universe.

    Hundreds of tickets have been sent, requesting this change, which will benefit many of those unhappy with the current merge options.

    In the past, ogame has been convinced to change the merge status of universes upon request by enough players.

    So, if you wish to attempt to try this, please follow these instructions:

    1) Select Support

    2) Select Contact Support

    3) Select 'Game'

    4) Select your universe

    5) Enter your Nickname

    6) Enter your email

    7) Select Servermerge or Account Deletion

    Then copy and paste the following message (and Submit):

    Please make Wurren a target universe.

    Thank you.

    Also, please share these instructions with your alliance

    This merge has been more like the left hand is making lunch and the right hand is petting a grizzly bear.

    Well as much as that has been fact of course for many of the mergers the staff have garnered new empty servers as targets for players in the past granted that was around server merge two three and one for merge four along side the standard target unis.

    We as players Do need to open and start a collective thread from each server with our expectations for the next merge with fair and grounded expectations.

    Like with each group add two new empty servers with poled server settings for each empty target universe.

    I don't think you wasted time, if you connected with good people in your alliance. As to spending money that's for sure unfortunate if you feel this is lost now.

    Queen put her self out there and started to gather her Wurren community, there's your solution in my opinion. At least try


    Rya asked good question. Neo you also put yourself on crosshairs of community (hang on Neo and share stress with Prongs because he gets paid to manage this)


    I don't think there should be focus on any new development except how to let players find and keep account in one uni they like and vote for merger with offered unis.


    Another solution is copying account and sending it to try a new community other then org somewhere where merge is not so often.


    Dreadnought makes a good point ( please don't make them wait another 2 years, Neo try to push for half a compromise with Prongs )
