Imagine all this feedback and not even a small thing changed. What a waste of time and energy, lads

The plan for merges will not be changed, sorry for that.
An optimal merge would be a lot of universes to Exodus and a brand new set of universes with a wide variety of specs, so anyone could have the opportunity to choose a new home for their accounts.
Of course it still has the question of high ranked accounts and on the lottery of everyone choice could create a gap even worst, because there's no possibility to create a limit in terms of points, but as already told was not accepted.
We don't know what the future holds, if it will be possible to change how global merges work or if Gameforge could bring some kind of solution that you could exit from your current universe to another, as was already discussed in the past, will poke some dudes to know if it's a dead end or not (maybe I'm dreaming and will beat with my head in the side table)...
However, I strongly suggest you, by xmas time or a little bit earlier to start to create a new post and give your suggestions for an ideal scenario of Merges, I'm sure it will be highly appreciated and it could be interesting to gather some ideas so we can ask for them, and maybe they could be accepted.
Nothing is lost, nothing is granted, but we did read every word that you write, we can only voice them.
So really, there was no point in having this thread opened in the first place and might as well be closed now.

I'm not playing favorites here But game staff for the most part does not find out about changes and updates untill a few days before they happen.
They are told we have this update coming on day xyz so make a notification about it so the players know
And as far as the coma is concerned They get all the tickets Goes S'goes go trainers and Ga's have to elevate because it is in part of the server they don't have access too. But the coma does.
And Most all game staff does not have any more info than we do as players but they have twice the stress since they have to come up with answers for us the players that they have to fight for from above the coma.
And most marketing directors and site managers are to busy to reply to all the game staff from 10 to 12 games so the older games staff gets left out more often than not.
Combine that with a second company added to the mix that information takes twice as long to get and buy the time staff gets it everything that needed answered has happened.
Sucks for every one involved all the way around .

There's a clue in his name.
Community manager.
Plot twist though the community is silent
-
In my ever so humble opnion there is only one way to really get our point across to GF, and that is not through the board staff but by stop buying DM for 6 months straight as a community. Take away the financial part of the game, the part which all the game is revolving around.
Ofcourse I am aware that it is probably easier to find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow than orchestrating such a boycot, but even if you get like 60% of the people to participate surely this must have some financial effect.

To be blunt here...that's all well and fine and I don't really care that much that there won't be any changes to the proposal. It's exactly the way I thought it would go because it's exactly the way it has gone in the past.
My only point was...why bother creating a community discussion thread at all if input from the community wasn't going to impact any decisions? Or better yet, yodah suggested that we bring forward ideas early next year....great. That's an actual answer. Everybody could have just saved their breath if one person who knew how this was going to happen stepped up and said "Hey this merge is going to work this way. There's another merge planned for the future, a thread will be opened around x date so please submit ideas there for that purpose".....and people wouldn't have been happy but I think most would understand and at least appreciate the gesture.
This merge has been more like the left hand is making lunch and the right hand is petting a grizzly bear.

The CoMa is not in hidding mode, very far from it.
Did he come back out of v-mode in uni 1 yet?

Thank you. At the very least, we appreciate the effort and the update.
Take notes shinesun this is how a Admin should represent their community, the opposite of what has been done for .us.

I don't think that would get you results. If they stop, I doubt they would return to paying after 6 months.
Dorado community showed how to ask for a change. Thats a presedan which is rarely repeated.
Shame that COMA's gave up on two GA's .
One GA who deals with complex issues and co-GA who is open to the community and has time to manage multiple conversation that are not liable because he/she isn't employee.
Like Blanke and Master Yoda duo. Of course they couldn't take certain things anymore and it ended badly. Still, it was a good thing in my opinion. Reconsider, give it a try. Maybe give Neo board and game admin duty if she has time for it.

On behalf of The Wurren community I have been ask to support Wurren as I also play there and have gone through countless mergers, as each merger piles up leaving more accounts going to waste and no graveyard to send them to.
Wurren community is reaching out to other Wurren players to have there say, not just via tickets but also if they can post on the forum as well. That would be great.
Lets try and save wurren from exodus .
⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡
There is currently a large push for Wurren to be made a target universe.
Hundreds of tickets have been sent, requesting this change, which will benefit many of those unhappy with the current merge options.
In the past, ogame has been convinced to change the merge status of universes upon request by enough players.
So, if you wish to attempt to try this, please follow these instructions:
1) Select Support
2) Select Contact Support
3) Select 'Game'
4) Select your universe
5) Enter your Nickname
6) Enter your email
7) Select Servermerge or Account Deletion
Then copy and paste the following message (and Submit):
Please make Wurren a target universe.
Thank you.
Also, please share these instructions with your alliance

The plan for merges will not be changed, sorry for that.
well that isn't a surprise given that the merge info was announced 6 days before the start of it
but it also brings up the next question
what can we as players do to make sure that next merge is acceptable for at least 70% of players? (70% cuz thats how much we need for ingame votes to pass, so only reasonable number, riiiight?)
iirc we had pretty much same discussion when last merge was happening.. we got the same "we hear you" message, and nothing came out of it
is there a plan/roadmap of what unis will keep on living permanently? it would be really nice to get a clear path, for the sake of both old and new players

Hello,
Just a small thing..
It seems that some feel this topic served no real purpose, because none of the requests led to concrete changes. But not every discussion is meant to produce an immediate decision or validation.
This thread was never introduced as a place where every suggestion would be accepted or acted upon. Its purpose was twofold: first, to answer questions about how the merger works (especially those not covered by the FAQ), and second, to provide space for feedback and reactions. From that perspective, it has served its function.
All comments were read carefully. Even if some decisions are not within our direct sphere of action, your feedback feeds into our thinking and can be used to support our internal discussions. After that, it is up to the company to do what it can/wants to do.
A discussion doesn't lose its value just because it doesn't lead to visible change right away. Being able to express yourselves, ask questions, and share concerns is important, for you as a community, but also for us.
This is also done in other communities, where they sometimes express the same frustrations as you, and it allows us as administrators to discuss and move things forward.
That said, I do understand the frustration, and I'm genuinely sorry we don"t have a concrete solution to offer.

Two years in a row, it's not a small thing. Discussion last year went exactly the same way eg. "Lacerta"

In other words: nothing will change, this merge will be done exactly as we already decided it would be, but please keep posting feedback and suggestions, so we can keep pretending to care about what the player base actually wants.

Really Neotinea!?
We had many proposals and suggestions before, but none of them yielded results, as they will not this time either.
It is not clear to me how anyone with common sense can come up with the idea of merging universes with such different characteristics.
The only result of all this will be that many, now very active players, will simply stop playing, putting their account in permanent V mode.
Some of them will stop playing OG for good.
I wish good luck GF in future survival
