  • 1. Accounts

    Take account security seriously.

The Lobby provides the option to add Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) as an additional layer of security — use it.

Always use secure, unique passwords, and do not reuse your login credentials anywhere else.

You are responsible for ensuring your account remains safe, secure, and under your control. Protect it!

    Remember to NEVER:

    • Share your login data with anyone.
    • Reuse your login data on any other site or service.
    • Provide your OGame login credentials to any script, addon, or third-party website that claims to "enhance your gameplay" or offers similar services.

    Account Trading:

It is possible to gift or trade accounts using a token system.

    • After an account ownership change, a 15-day cooldown applies before a new token can be generated or redeemed.
    • You can find the token option in the Lobby menu under "Generate Gifting Code."

Please note that all matters related to account trading are entirely the players' responsibility — the support staff does not assist with account trades.

Furthermore, be advised that we do NOT intervene in cases of "account exchanges gone wrong."

    • If you create a gifting code and give it away, you are considered to have voluntarily transferred ownership of the account.
    • We will not "return" an account even if you and the recipient had a personal agreement (such as "he would return it after doing something for you") that was later broken.

  • 2. Multi accounts

The only exception to the multi accounts rule is universe Volans (EN 174) - as a chaos universe, all players are allowed to control as many accounts as they wish.

Aside from Volans, and as an outcome of the Global Merges, we understand that players may occasionally find themselves controlling more than one account on the same server. This is accepted as long as only one account is actively played. The extra accounts may only be accessed to prevent deletion until they find a new home — only the login action is permitted.

Please bear in mind that this exception applies only to your existing accounts and under very specific circumstances. It does not override the main rule ("Every player is allowed to control a single account per universe") nor does it allow the creation of new accounts (for filling, pushing, or other purposes) under the excuse of "I'm just playing one account as clarified."

If you find yourself controlling more than one account in the same universe, you must contact the support staff so that proper notes can be added to the accounts.

On the other hand, it is allowed for two or more players to play under the same IP address. If this is the case, we strongly recommend contacting the support staff.

While playing under the same IP:

    • It is not allowed to log into each other's accounts, on purpose or accidentally
    • If two or more accounts are playing under one IP address, it is the responsibility of the players to ensure that separate play is evident
    • It is not allowed to attack each other for profit
    • It is not allowed to pull/push each other
    • Players are allowed to play in the same alliance
    • Players are allowed to trade with each other
    • Players are allowed to perform mutual moonshots, subject to the pushing rule

  • 3. Account Sitting

Account sitting is only permitted using "Sitting Codes", which are available in the Lobby.

    The sitter is allowed to:

    • Place the account into vacation mode
    • Perform a fleet save (a defensive action intended to protect the fleet)

The sitter is not allowed to:

    • Perform any fleet or combat action that is not a genuine fleet save, including attacks, transports, espionage, Moon Destructions, expeditions, missile usage, etc.
    • Remove the account from vacation mode
    • Change any account details (e.g., nickname, planet/moon names, alliance membership, buddy list adjustments, etc.)

  • 4. Pushing

Pushing refers to an illegal action where a lower-ranked player sends resources to a higher-ranked player without receiving fair value in return.

This is against the rules because it gives unfair advantages to stronger players, disrupting the balance of the game.

Due to being a chaos universe, this rule does not apply to universe Volans (EN 174).

Bear in mind the following topics:

    • The only approved trade rate on OGame.org is 3:2:1, where: 1 unit of deuterium = 2 units of crystal or 3 units of metal
      • These trade rates are valid for all universes on OGame.org.
    • Players can donate food to others without limit, but it cannot be used in trades for metal, crystal, or deuterium if the recipient is a higher-ranked player.
    • While it is allowed to "pull" a lower-ranked player by giving them resources to support their growth, it is not allowed to provide enough resources that they surpass your rank — even if the resources are not spent. (*See extended Pulling explanation below.)
    • Recycling help and ACS splits:
      • It is recommended to notify a Game Operator when a lower-ranked player sends resources to a higher-ranked player.
      • ACS splits may be done as players agree, provided all involved contributed to the battle.
    • Bounties/Headhunts:
      • Must be approved by a Game Operator in advance.
      • They can only be paid after the bounty or headhunt conditions have been fulfilled.

After a pushing ban is lifted, the resources must be returned to the pushing player, or a return must be arranged with your Game Operator.

    Note:
If you receive resources — intentionally or unintentionally — from a lower-ranked player, you cannot keep them.

Any pushing violation will apply 72 hours after the resources are received.

Within that time, the resources must be returned to the player who sent them or you must contact a Game Operator to arrange a solution.

    *Pulling

Resources sent from a stronger player to a weaker player without anything in return — known in-game as "pulling" — are limited to 500 million resources per week.

This rule applies if any of the following conditions are met:

    • You are ranked within the Top 20 in Economy,

      OR

    • You have more than 2 billion Economy Points.

    Pulling addendum

    Note:

No pulling is allowed until the 4th Monday after a new universe opens (i.e., for the first 3 weeks and 3 days following the universe opening)

    What to consider:

    • A player can only pull 500 million resources per week.

However, a single player may receive multiple 500m pulls from different players.

    • It is forbidden to manipulate legal trade rates to circumvent pulling restrictions.
    • The pulling limit resets every Monday at 00:00:00 server time.
    • Moonshots are not subject to the pulling rule.
    • Under no circumstances may the pulled player surpass the pulling player in points.

This includes unspent resources, which are also considered.

    • Activities such as trading, recycler help, ACS battles, profit sharing, etc., are not considered pulling, as the recipient is providing something of value in return.

The usual fair play rules still apply to these actions.

    Note:

After a ban for violating the pulling rule ends, the player has 72 hours to return any excess resources to a Game Operator.

  • 5. Bugusing

Bugusing means intentionally exploiting a bug (glitch) in the game to gain an unfair advantage. Even if the bug is part of the game’s code, using it on purpose is still against the rules.

It's strictly forbidden and can lead to punishment, including temporary or permanent bans.

If you think you step on a bug, here's what you should do:

    1. Do not abuse the bug
      Stop using it immediately.
    2. Document the bug
      - Take screenshots,
      - Write down the exact steps that led to the bug (what you clicked, when it happened, any strange behavior)
      - If possible, copy error messages or anything unusual you notice
    3. Report the bug properly
Support Ticket is the best way and mandatory for most of the cases, as personal account information might be needed

    Important:

Never tell other players how to trigger the bug before it's fixed.
Sharing exploits can make it worse and can also get you banned as a "helper" of bugusers.

Some examples of bugusing (not limited to) :

    • Any method to prevent a player from sending, recalling, or slowing their fleet
      - Using any method to generate lag for a player in order to prevent them from sending, recalling, or slowing their fleet is not permitted.
      - It only applies if the defender fleet was returning to the moon/planet. If it was already landed, it is not considered bugusing because the defender could fleet save earlier, except if the bug is triggered a lot of times to cover all minutes of the attack.
    • Sensor phalanx spam
It is forbidden to negatively influence the functionality of the Sensor phalanx by sending multiple missions on the same coordinates of one player.
As “filling” the Sensor Phalanx is seen by many as game tactics, the following is allowed:
      - The defender is allowed to send unlimited number of own fleets.
      - He is also allowed to ask two other players to fly at the defending coordinates with 40 fleets in total (both combined).
      - If the defender is part of an alliance, he is allowed to ask two additional players (same alliance members) to fly at the defending coordinates with 40 fleets in total (both combined).
      - In consequence, there will be a total of 80 fleets from 4 different players, plus the defender’s fleets, depending on available slots.

To be able to use the extra 40 fleets, the defender and the other two players need to be in the same alliance for at least 72 hours prior the action.
It is the involved parties' responsibility to control the allowed limit.
The use of this option must be reported to a Game Operator (GO) via the Support System as soon as possible, and no later than 24 hours after the first of the 80+ fleets was sent

    • Bots, Macros, Automated Scripts etc. will be treated as Scripting unless otherwise expressly approved by Gameforge.

  • 6. Real-life Threats

Real-life threats are forbidden in OGame, even if you say it was "just a joke."

Threatening someone's real safety (even jokingly) breaks the game’s Terms of Service and community guidelines. It’s treated as serious misconduct.

Intent doesn't matter — if the message sounds like a real-life threat (e.g., violence, stalking, harassment), it can get you immediately banned.
