But who on earth thought it was a good idea to add TEMPORARY items to the rewards event, and even worse only give the items a 7 day timer to use them?
Seriously, this has to be one of the worst ideas I have seen on OGame so far

Aweful idea indeed. Im lucky that im doing LF techs so i atleast used the tech reduction today but building reduction is utterly useless :D. Basically you get no reward ;)).

if everyone refuses to do rewards will they listen i doubt it. But its worth a shot boycott rewards

The idea is clear, give better rewards at the cost of making them temporary.
With old rewards you'd be happy to get a 7d +2 Expeditions item, that you'd use instantly anyway.
Now you get 30d +3 instead, that alone is (at least for me) better than everything combined that I ever got before.
Ressource packs being on a timer means you cannot hoard them anymore to ninja people, limiting the ability to ninja people as a f2p player.
Class change token is more of a commitment now, either you change it and play the class until you get the next token or don't change at all.
It's alright in my eyes, has its ups and downs.

Im no fan of the time restricted rewards no incentive to actually get them if you only have to use them in 7 days,
What's wrong with hording like 4x 6h build items then knocking a day off a build probably give them a miss next time around not worth it

It's sad to see that the same people that complains about p2w are the same people complaining about being given FREE ITEMS.What if you weren't given anything at all? Chill for a second. Use what you can and forget the things you cannot use. Since we almost get the same stuff every time at the reward event, it's not that hard to plan ahead, save some ress and spend your limited time building time reductions. You guys are greedy as fuck.
How can we complain about 60% ress pack when the alternative is no pack? Go play disco and even with temporary items, it has never been more profitable to do rewards.
btw, I hate GF, but making changes to a game is not always bad. But peoples greedy and ignorant behavior will always be.

They could have atleast put it to be 30 days in which time it could be used somehow but 7 days is way too short in ogame. Same goes for getting LF kraken...any old account has no use of it and if didn't had timer then it could be saved for new colony.
Also this thread was made 3 months ago when they introduced this the first time with "bad/unusable" rewards. Now we get much more useful items that are actually usable like expo buffs/res buffs/planet fields/expo/fleet slots.
As for packs i don't really mind 50% packs or that i have to use it in 7 days. Again, it would be better if it was 30 days because some people might plan to pack but overall, like you said, it is free and you CAN use it which is the most important thing.

Well, if I gifted 6 other useful things beside the tv and he complained, then yes. You can't isolate one item a part from the other six mate.
After all, it's the players free choice to use or not to use something like the class token!!! GF is not giving it and say you are not allowed to use that after all. I can agree that it would be nice to get 30 days on the items, but reward event is so often that I believe 7 is fine.
Tbh, didn't see what date the thread was from ahha. But didn't they introduce the limited items alongside the new expo items?
And yea true. Don't get me wrong, I would like it to be 30 days, but in general I am just happy there is some content to obtain by simply just doing small tasks once in a while. I know packing is OP for those who can afford it, but cmon. I have played disco for 1.5 year on several accounts and always stayed in top 10 or 20.. even after merge I can easily keep up and advance through ranks.
People forget it's all about the grind. There is so many ways to play the game these days
