FR defender and lesson learned I guess

I'm going to start by saying I'm not a salty player. I've been crashed plenty of times before, and I always congratulate the attacker regardless of who they are.

So, congratulations on the attack.

But…

I think some things need clearing up as I'm finding out more and more information.

I will not drop names.

I had been sitting on my new colony since it was established a few hours prior to the attack being sent, waiting for someone to launch—which they did.

I reached out to a distant friend I’ve worked with in the past as my main defender was away. He could not defend but put me in touch with someone else who could.

I sent screenshots of the flights to the new defender, which just so happened to include my new colony coordinates.

The defender ran sims and sent defense. I was out at the time. I then received a message from the defender asking if I could keep an eye on things and let him know when I got probed.

When I got this message, I naturally refreshed the game. To my surprise, Flava had spied on my new colony four minutes earlier.

A further four minutes later, it was suggested I log off so as not to spook the attacker. I refreshed once more, assuming the attacker might have recalled after finding my new colony—which I was clearly active on—but he did not.

This leaves an eight-minute window of activity on my colony when the timer should have appeared for Flava to know he was safe.

I log back in for the attack, and there is no defense. I lost everything.

After the attack, things started to add up a bit:

• The defender claims he did not set a one-hour hold time, which is strange because when ACS defending, one hour is set as standard.

• The attacker continued the attack after seeing I was clearly online. Reading your board post, you knew I was online the entire time if you already knew where my colony was.

• The defender claimed the attacker was confused because the probes aligned with activity. They did not—and I’m not sure how the defender would know this.

• Finally, the attacker only slowed his fleet by 18 seconds. I do not know the attacker or their skill set, but if there was an eight-minute discrepancy between timers and activity, I would have slowed a lot more than 18 seconds—especially in a uni known for multiple defends in case of slows.

The first defender I reached out to is someone I trusted and still do and I do not believe they would sell me out like that.

As for the 2nd defender who 'accidently' messed up, I do not know you, perhaps you can make things right but there are far to many things out of place for me to just consider this as a simple mistake.

Anyway that's my take on the situation

I hope it was just a mistake as it looks very bad and unsportsmanlike from the attackers side and the defenders group.

However it seems unlikely to be a mistake due to the amount that's out of place.

These are some life lessons (and Vega lessons) that are presented to you. Wish you a speedy recovery, wouldn't worry to much about cheap tactics

Stupid mistake, that no one saw until after the hit.

And Phasma you already know that tickets were sent, and three Muppets have already offered to pay for your full fleet losses as an apology for the mistake.

No need to be a sausage on the boards to fan the flames of the trolls who can't pull a hit off without being timed back. We defended, fucked it up, you'll get sorted out and the only one out of pocket is us. Thank god for 3:2:1 rates eh? Genuine, honest fuck up by people who play around their kids and families. We make mistakes and we try to set them right.

Flava did message a Muppet, and a conversation was had, but at no point was it anything other than what I deduce to be a chatty, nervous attacker trying to assessing we were going to time him back. Just so happens that they message the king of the monologue so they got 4000 messages back. To allude the was collusion is ridiculous, you both are targets lol.

Okay so we will go a point at a time. Also bare in mind I never included any names or alliances tags.

Okay so he didn't have enough deut. He is rank in the top 20 of eco so I find it hard to believe. Let's say that is the case, why I am only hearing this now? That still doesn't take away from the 5 very valid points I made on why it seems suspect.

I have been told a ticket was made, no proof.

Yes I have been offered the resources back which I am thankful for. That doesn't stop me from putting my side of the story out there.

If that makes me a sausage then that's fine but I prefer something more like chorizo, not just a sausage.

I understand mistakes happen. I can accept that. But my points against it not being are there.

Yes Flava messaged a Muppet. I have seen some of the conversation. Again I am just expected to believe what I am told about that conversation.

The time of the conversation was just to convenient kinda like a bad movie.

Like I said. It may have been a mistake but it seems unlikely.

I would like to say I do not appreciate my loyalty being questioned of which side of the universe I am with. I have been loyal to the correct side of the universe since I first played here many many years ago and will continue to be loyal to the correct side regardless of this.

Players who know me knows this for a fact. I'm sure those who are on the other side would even confirm this.

The defender told me it cost 800kk deut to send the defence, does the deut cost go over double if you have to set it to hold for an hour? Or are you saying the defender lied about how much it cost to defend? Or are you lying?

I saw a screenshot detailing 2bn deut, for a defend before it was launched. Maybe I am mistaken on that front then, I can't be arsed to go back through our Whats.App to see what I got wrong.

I was in vmode and away during the time that this unfolded. However, I did read back through MUPPETS chat and can personally say from my observation that it was indeed a botched defend. As it’s been said, mistakes happen. And this particular defender, while being towards the top on ranks, is not a full time fleeter like others in the ally. Though, I do validate and understand your suspicion and concerns, Phasma. It was just the perfect F-up at the most inconvenient time. And I hate to see it happen to you. I lucked up and found and crashed your main a week or so ago, and I like to believe that you and I (despite being in the same alliance for awhile), have an understanding of our relationship in game - and please correct me if I’m wrong. And since then, I have had accusations thrown my way and my character questioned. Lucky for me, I stopped caring what other people watching from the outside think a long time ago because I know myself and know the facts while others speculate. That being said, I do understand you feeling the way that you do.

Flava, you weren’t meant to land this hit but somehow or another you managed it haha. Enjoy the profits mate. As dozens of players, we witnessed the unfolding event. Unfortunately, we didn't even realize it was 0 seconds when the defence photo was posted. Most of us might have glanced at it and clicked to warn you. Even if it couldn't catch up again, it would have told you. If you look at it from a completely objective perspective (in terms of wins and losses), such an event shouldn't have deliberately led you into a trap with these numbers. The fact that the game still has a 0-second option is another absurdity.

To be fair i am not sure they would stoop so low for 12bil TD and not even 5bil profit especially if you are not related to ass/jeb . But ACS is by default set to 1hour and you can't send fleet if you don't have enough deut so unless someone intentionally moved acs def from 1>0 i don't see how you can f it up. maybe they forgot to send it. seems more likely .

I guess you posted "explanation" for the hit so they are now kinda "forced" to send you resources back since they said they would, otherwise it does not look pretty at all . It's not much for them anyway and there is plenty of street outside top 20 pulling rules so even if ticket isn't allowed for top20 acc they can still reimburse you with those accounts outside top20 easily . By the way if they do send you resources for all you have lost it would be fair if you reply later on this thread so you clear their name.

But before you send ships on a defend mission, the game calculates the amount of deut required including the holding time, the longer the hold the more deut required. If you have insufficient deut before launching the defence, the 'send fleet' button will be grayed out making it impossible to launch the defend. So how was the defence send without enough deut??

After that the Turkish ambassador came along and implied that the defend mission was chosen as a zero hold mission from the start. This also doesn't make any sense, since it will automatically be at 1 hour and for a ninja 1 hour is fine. So why would the defender even have clicked this button and accidentally change it to 0??

So alot of contradictions in the stories, for me it feels more like Arcane was deployed as a tactical smoke grenade to defuse the situation at this point. The guy that was supossed to defend was probably the only one with bad intentions. I'm not saying I'm right, these are just my observations from the various posts.

Likely, 1) ACS Defender in STREET changed to 0 by accident is the most likely scenario - I suspect they thought 0 encompasses 0-1 (like 0-60mins) which is plausible.

The other explanations don't match the game mechanics. So why not just come out say that? The later is not possible as others stated. No?

Not sure if that metaphor is an apples to apples on what's been said here lol. Was the rez agreed to be sent back to CP prior to the board post by CP which implicated STREET? If yes, then mistake is plausible, if not, then they'll have to figure that out between them.

Even with all the numbers inflation in the game, millions of BCs flying around threads like this are somehow more interesting. We are no better than high school girls when it comes to drama.
