Tier universes based on points

  • Dear all,

I suggest to have tier universes based on points of player from all community:funny2: , with this we will have more interested times, and player will have more justice:mob:

Universes where can battle equal :rocketlauncher:

    :rulez:

    Example Tier 1 universe from 0 point until 1 000 000

    Example Tier 2 universe from 1 000 001 point until 10 000 000

    Example Tier 2 universe from 10 000 001 point until 20 000 000 etc

This can be great idea am open for suggestions

  • How often and who will be checking points difference and merge accounts to designated universes? You do understand this is impossible to achieve because someone will join, lets say 10mil universe, and insta pack 1 bil points . There should be a system in place that automatically moves you when you reach a threshold or it is pointless. Also tier point difference are absurd but i am guessing you just did it to show the idea of it. 100mil to 500mil seems more like some "fair" tier. 10 to 100, 100 to 500, 500 to 2bil. Also i doubt anyone would be happy with this because how would you fix the speed of universe while merging those accounts? Crucial factor for majority of players is universe speed and not the difference in points...not a well thought idea :tongue3:

  • Better to rewrite noob protection

There is no way to rewrite it to be fair because difference between points doesn't scale proportionally...someone would have to manually input limits and check every few weeks.

Well it could be set up like you cant attack person 10x less points from you, or just raise the 500 k points bar to 50 m at least (at least for older unis).

No it could not because as i mentioned, scaling does not work like that in ogame. It's not the same if 100mil attacks 10mil and 100bil attacks 10bil points player, difference in power is totally different and the scale is still 10x less points... Only way to achieve "fairness" would be manually setting limits specific to each server.

I do agree with latter part, 50mil could be the new standard. I feel like thats a decent time to learn the game.

Anyhow, we aren't on topic so ill sustain from further complications :dead:. But as i said, OP didn't really thought about his thread before posting so i doubt we will reach any conclusion here

  • I don't see this working out, I agree with those saying it would be better to rework noob protection. I've had many real life friends try this game and they enjoy it, until they get smashed to hell after getting out of no protection and then quit. I smash noobs that I should have no business smashing but hey the game allows it so I do it before someone else does, but this shouldn't be the case

  • Hello,

I understand the idea behind the suggestion, but it seems too far removed from the reality of the game and, above all, from the feasibility of this kind of idea. I'm not opening a poll because there is no world where this would lead to such a change in the game, but I can leave the suggestion open for discussion.

  • And this will bring better newbie protection and protection for all player, and most important player will have equal match player to measure skills

Points and skill don't always correlate in this game.

Also, most players are in alliances that they have fostered relationships with over time, and this would be ripping them apart from those friendships if they get pulled from a uni for being x number of points versus what their alliance mates are at.

Raising the noob protection threshold will only prolong the inevitable unless they improve the tutorial. What I'd like to see, apart from the inmates that run the prison, such as the teamlers, GOs, Mods, etc., is a "mentor" role that pairs vetted volunteers with new players to help them learn the mechanics and dynamics of the game that the tutorial just fails miserably at. The "mentors" would receive DM vouchers like the "teamlers" do, but the "mentors" would receive reviews from the players they mentor to grade them and their mentorship proficiency.

  • Points and skill always correlate in this game. Because how you will progress if someone min 40 times stronger attack daily?

If they don't loot anything from you then they are wasting deut. It's not like you can't keep your res save...

I would rather GF make server transfer tokens for 10-15€ and be done with it. You can go to any universe you want with token with the rule that you can't join any uni in which your points are higher then average of top 10 players.

  • Better give us option to migrate anywhere we want. Change servers, pick any universe. why not? Give us some kind of tech we need to research in order to be able to do it ingame.
