I was looking at the rank 10-20 players in my uni and that lower ranked players are to far behind and perhaps that will impact their will to continue playing on.
I would like to give the following idea.
Based on the points of the rank 1 player other players get a bonus to their playstyle.
In my uni we have a guy wih 300bn points which is insane to this day.
There is no way to catch up to him ofcourse but the lower ranked players will have a better time building their accounts when they have acces to more resources.
I would like to propose a catch-up mechanic where is that for lets say every 10bn points of rank 1 the below rank 20 players will get a 10% boost to their race playstyle. So for Collector their mining production is boosted by 10% and for disco the expedition results are boosted by 10%.
With the rank 1 being 300bn points the bonus to these players would be 300% more income.
The general class however is more difficult to have bonusses for. Perhaps we can boost the way a LF has a chance to kill a Deathstar. Making DMing lower ranked players more risky when that player has more LF's in his fleet.
increased combat research, for 300% this would be 6 ranks and more speed with his fleet.
Rank 20 and up will have a reduced % based and top 10 has no bonus anymore.
This way the rank 10 will get no benefit out of this change and all lower ranked players do get a huge boost to their playstyle making it more fun to do things on their accounts and easier to build up.
