2025 XMAS SPECIAL REWARDS - ASTRO TOKEN ???

    since its already December


    and im curious if we have any info if we gonna get astro token this year ?


    or any other special kind of rewards (plasma tech or whatever) it will be cool to know something in advance :flowers:

    I would not recomend to give another astro token to accounts who already receive it last year... only to new ones, as it makes kinda unfair situation

    If they give away an astro token with 1, 2 or even 4 weeks expiration date. Then most people won't be able to "naturally" obtain enough resources to get the even astro level done, and they'll miss out on an extra planet from the odd astro level. This will create a lot of FOMO and result in a lot of opened boxes. GameForge will be seen as generous for giving away such a good item.


    I think this whole item expiration date thing was intended for this exact scenario. I think GameForge likes money, so my guess is we will see a short expiration date astro item.

    If they are applied regularly I would argue that they are very fair. But it helps those who are active.


    Large accounts get to the point where they realistically can't get more planets. Hence why the achievement tops at 20.


    Using a token every year gets you a new planet every other year. But it pushes the research limit up more than the added production from the planet. You are locked into using the tokens so 1 new planet per year (or 0.5 planets per year average).


    But smaller account can use the tokens and save for the research, so if they save for 1 research level per 2 years, they average empire growth of 0.75 planets per year but still letting them grow other parts of their empire by not focusings on saving just for astro. This benefit diminishes obviously as the account transitions from small to big.

    Who cares if it expires. even if you don't get the extra planet, you are still getting 36% of the research cost and time for free instantly.

    Id love an Astro token even if temporary. I also agree that this was why they implemented time use items so I'd expect there to be a Christmas token of some sort, if not Astro then maybe a mine or some other research

    For some reason I am completely down with a free graviton if it is like the 1st day of a 3 day mystery set. Really troll people.



    Then again with speed universes I have started thinking energy requirements for gravitons is to low.

    Giving all players a free level of Astro is great for everyone. Higher levels takes players that don’t spend at all or little here and there many many Months just to save up the absurd costs of Astro. Then that brings you to the actual time to construct naturally which no one will or can ever let a research cook and finish that takes over a year.


    players that spend on the game can’t achieve anything they want anyway, so those if they wanted to they would anyway.

    So, if GF is feeling jolly this year, Astro is the only logical and beneficial item for every player imo. If they were to make it a times item then we all know where their core intentions lie.

    Its true. Astro is one of those researches that regardless of size, gameplay style, or commitment time everyone benefits from.

    ofc astro token is useful for everyone there in no debate about that


    but even if we dont get one , it will be good knowing that in advance so we dont count on that and plan to grow our accs accordingly the next month(s)


    cause what i have noticed with these kind of rewards and especially the limited time ones like plasma/hyper tech was that whoever was stacked on res at the time or them weeks around it happended to benefited a ton and gained more lvls so many players that just spend their stack of res prior to that missed a big one while other happened to benefited a lot so that was kind of un-fair not giving everyone the same chance by making the announcement early enough so people can pre plan their spending around that which benefit both GF and the players in that case


    ( - also on a side note merging the whole vacation mode mechanics in the convo i think one real fair change will be rewarding ONLY the active players with the good rewards like astro/plasma/hyper techs etc that way people will be 'forced'in a good way to play more for good reasons and those who play more anyways will be rewarded for playing more the game and grinding and the gap between them and vmoders will be bigger , or give the vmoders the same token but limited while active players get it perma / so that way you reward your active player based and make the vmoders have a reason to play more and also active players again feeling their time n effort is being recognised by the game itself - )



    Any chance we get some news officially or info earlier than then announcement ?

    I don't agree completely, these rewards are usually given on special dates. The last one for example was on Ogame's 20 year anniversary in October, and you know that there is a chance on some form of reward around Xmas.


    So what is holding you back to plan accordingly and start hoarding res for the EOY? I mean what is the worst that can happen, we don't get anything and you still have your resources :thumbsup:
