About a week ago I noticed an old account coming out of v-mode (pretty sure it was Orka's account) after quite a while. One planet got deleted and a new one created in the same SS as Gargamel's and some other guys' from SEB. Not really knowing if they were friendly or not (I knew they speak the same language - or very similar dialects - but they were in different allys since the beginning), I decided to observe what's gonna happen. I was thinking either they're friendly and he goes there to make that SS his new "base", or he's got some unfinished business with the SEB guys. About less than a week later, I see Orka's fleet (renamed to Antara) got recycled by the SEB guys in what seemed to have been a ninja of some sorts(?) and I got curious and started checking for the fleets that got the deed done. It was the first time in many months that I scanned Gargamel, knowing he's a pretty active miner, who regularly scraps surplus ships from expos. But that day, I find around 7bn fleet and a ton of resources, so he officially regained my attention for the time being. Kept watch during that day, but he was very active as usual. The next day, while I am actually looking for a completely different player, I noticed a timer on his moon and no activity anywhere else, which was very odd for the specific time, normally marking his usual "business hours". I scanned that moon and to my surprise, the fleet discovered the day before was still there with a lot more resources than the previous day. With my fleet being pretty spread out and not having nearly enough deuterium to launch the ideal composition, I decided to still go for it with what I could afford, spending all the deut I had on that moon (had under 1k remaining after launching everything).
My presumption that he got held up or got busy in some way was confirmed as the hit went through and he only came on around 15-20 min after impact, confirming himself he got busy.
Gargamel was a great sport about it, while at quite the big loss (Astro 25 was planned for that day), so I could only wish him a well-meant very fast rebuild after what was a very unlucky series of events leading to me scanning him for the first time since April or May.
PS: I think he's been cool so far because he hasn't yet noticed I freed all the smurfs in the process. 
I can't imagine he'll keep his cool once he discovers all his blue prisoners are gone from the dungeons! (sorry Gargamel, I kinda have a weakness for the little blue guys!)
