    If you want to know about OGame and its history - I am one of the oldest members around and used to be a board admin for a long, long time. I even played the German version before. org even existed, and in my time as BA got to know those behind the scenes.

    I am probably a ghost to most people here these days. I've been here nearly since day 1, and I have seen and done so much here... 😀


    I was board admin for a very long time and remember well how we built these forums (very different then) and how the game has developed. The most significant and then controversial change was the introduction of the officers and dark matter, with an outcry all over the OGame world and so many discussions... I was there when universe 2 was opened and nothing really worked as it should, poor RF_WDA sweating bullets in Karlsruhe while people were wondering if a second universe was even needed. We had a lot of universes then in a short time, and they were full, which means that for a while registering wasn't possible because there were so many players.


    I am quite happy that the alliance I founded and then had to hand over to Wraith02 is still in existence, JeB aka JediBites. Did you know that in the begin German-speaking players weren't allowed to play because they could have an advantage as OGame was first published in Germany?

    Nothing else to add, really; a friend searched "ogame talonic" on a whim and linked me this topic, and I still had an account I made from 5 years ago when i last popped my head in (Hi Cass! Still not dead yet!), so.... why not? Excellent writeup, 5 gold lueshis, etc. Everything he said about me being a butterfly is 100% true, I'm a bastion of goodwill and have never done anyone wrong in my entire life.

    I wouldn't play either anymore, but my daughter would. She turns out to like games and is an avid Minecraft builder. She is interested when it comes to OGame (she knows about it because...duh....), but we'll see.

    Kids do that. Sleep is overrated anyway, right. Sadly, I have realized that I can't pull allnighters that easily anymore.


    Yes, she turned 9 in September. You can bet she's smart. She is doing Karate, slowly earning her belts, she's really good at it. Especially her kicks are devastating. And her favourite subject at school is math. Great grades all around.

  • What is your job?

    I work as a historian/archivist in a small archive, the archive for social movements. Taking in anything interesting about the topic (books, documents, any object, posters, placards etc), listing them, storing, preparing exhibitions with what we have and whatever else is needed.
